King Solomon’s Quarry
King Solomon’s Quarry, also known as Zedekiah’s Cave, is a vast limestone cavern stretching beneath the Muslim Quarter of Jerusalem. It is the source of much of the city’s building stone over the centuries, and is discussed here as part of a post on Roman and Byzantine Jerusalem.
