Madaba Map
The Madaba Map is a 6th-century mosaic floor in a Byzantine church in Jordan, carrying the earliest surviving cartographic depiction of Jerusalem and the Holy Land. Discussed here as part of a piece on Roman and Byzantine Jerusalem, where its detail helps reconstruct the city plan of the period.
