The Jewish Temple stood on Jerusalem’s Temple Mount in two iterations: the First Temple built by Solomon, and the Second Temple expanded by Herod. Both ended in destruction, in 586 BCE and 70 CE. Discussed here as part of Jerusalem in the Second Temple period.
