Jabotinsky
Ze’ev Jabotinsky (1880-1940) was the founder of Revisionist Zionism, an orator and writer whose followers ran the Irgun underground. Members of the Irgun were held in the Akko fortress prison and broke out in the famous raid of 1947. Discussed here as part of a day in Akko (Acre).
