Scorpions’ Ascent
Scorpions’ Ascent (Maale Akrabim) is a steep switchback road climbing out of the Arava through the Negev highlands. The route has been used since antiquity to link the Dead Sea with the Mediterranean. Discussed here as part of the post on the Negev mountains.
