Mikve Yisrael
Mikve Yisrael, founded in 1870 by the Alliance Israélite Universelle, was the first Jewish agricultural school in the land of Israel. It became a training ground for several waves of immigrants, discussed here as part of a post on the settlements of the Judean coastal plain.
