He was happy to offer different narratives on complex and controversial topics, and to have open, honest discussion.

Outstanding communication skills and a calm, positive attitude. I was especially impressed with his sensitivity to students of various religions.

“We knew we could trust him with our VIPs, and he excelled.”
“We commissioned Samuel to take some major corporate VIPs on a private tour of Jerusalem and received first class feedback from them. They found Samuel to be hugely knowledgable, totally engaging and full of insights. We knew we’d be able to trust Samuel with our VIP guests, and he excelled in this task. He was a pleasure to work with in the planing for this trip.”
“Samuel is a talented guide who took us around Jerusalem with our 2 young daughters (2&3 years old). He was very flexible and tried to accommodate everyone including the little ones by designing a bespoke tour according to our experiences, preferences and passions. We started with a visit of the old city: Western Wall, Church of the Holy Sepulchre. We carried on in the afternoon with the science museum for the little ones and an Israeli wine tasting. On top of being very knowledgeable and educated (MA in Hebrew and Israeli studies from Cambridge) Samuel pays a lot of attention to small details even for the little ones. We had an unforgettable experience and even found some time to speak about geopolitics in the region. We would recommend Samuel without any hesitation.”
“Samuel came at the recommendation of my friend, who traveled with him on a Wharton MBA trip. Boy am I glad she told us about him - my boyfriend and I had the best week traveling throughout Israel with Samuel! A few things you need to know about him - 1. Safety - If you’re at all concerned about traveling to Israel, especially to Jerusalem, Samuel is your guy. He was in constant contact with the authorities to make sure that we would be able to enjoy our trip without worry. I felt full confidence in his ability to recommend whether activities in our itinerary were safe, and whether where we were staying was safe. 2. Pre-trip planning - Samuel makes this as easy as possible. From catering the itinerary to your interests, to where to stay on your budget, to the restaurants to dine at, Samuel has you covered. I was amazed at the level of care he took and the amount of time he spent pre-trip to make sure our vacation was exactly to our liking. If you’re a foodie, even more bonus points - per request, Samuel booked us reservations at the best places around the country. 3. Depth of knowledge - Both myself and my boyfriend are total history/culture nerds. Samuel plays at that masters’ level, like a grad-level course in Israeli studies. He’s open to any questions, and gives you straight answers - both sides of the story. 4. Every faith - One of the things I loved most about Samuel was his ability to give the Christian, Jewish and Muslim history of any sight in Israel. So if you’re looking for a specific viewpoint, you’re covered, and if you’re looking for a broad perspective, you’re covered. 5. Unique - The more you travel with Samuel, the more you learn what a unicorn he is. This isn’t your average tour guide - he’s a rapper, a DJ, a former marketer, a professor, and a friend. You won’t be disappointed - I promise. What are you waiting for? Book now!”
“His perspective deepened our own Judeo-Christian roots.”
“Samuel Green is the best! My husband and I had a fabulous time with him, traveling all over Israel. Samuel is a walking encyclopedia with a vast knowledge of geography, history, politics, socioeconomics, religion, culture and so on! You can ask him about anything and he will probably know the answer! Samuel makes these historical sites come alive with his stories and understanding. Furthermore, Samuel’s humor made for so much fun! We laughed as we learned, and enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. Throughout our trip, we ended up changing our minds about our plans and Samuel was flexible and so gracious to switch things up. He wanted to make sure that we got to do all the things that we wanted to do while being mindful of our budget. Samuel was also attentive to us on a personal level, taking great care to make sure we were feeling good, protected from the sun and well hydrated. What a great guy! Lastly, my husband and I pastor a Christian church and and we thoroughly enjoyed having the perspective of this wonderful Jewish man. Samuel’s passion for Israel and Judaism greatly enhanced our own understanding of our Judeo-Christian roots as we journeyed through the Holy Land. God’s love towards Israel lasts forever! Ezra 3:11”
“A neutral account of the contentious parts of Israeli history.”
“Samuel is an engaging story-teller, has a great sense of humour and recommendations for food, music, souvenirs! He is genuine and gives you a neutral / factual account of the more contentious parts of Israeli history that you are unlikely to get from other guides (trust me: I had a not-so-great experience with another guide at Yad Vashem). I spent eight days in his company and he is one of the reasons I had the time of my life in Israel!”
“He had the right Bible passage ready at each site – at times, quite moving.”
“Samuel guided part of my trip; including a culinary tour of Tel Aviv, a trip to the desert surrounding Eilat and a tour of Jerusalem. He also assisted with the planning of the rest of my trip. He was a class act throughout. Particular qualities of his which contributed to the trip’s success are as follows: Bespoke nature of the experience. Samuel was keen to know what I was most interested in and then tailored the trips to my tastes. For example, before the trip to Jerusalem I mentioned that I was looking forward to seeing the sites where various passages of the Bible took place. As such, whilst visiting numerous Biblical sites (both old an new testament), Samuel had on hand the appropriate passage from the bible. This was, at times, quite moving. Eloquence. Samuel’s mastery of the English language is absolute and all explanations given were both clear and precise. This was particularly evident when he was describing the history, architecture, Biblical references and current practices of the stations of the Via Dolorosa. At no time did I feel overwhelmed by the volume of information provided and his evocative oratory really enhanced my experience. Knowledge. Without coming across as an ‘anorak’, Samuel’s knowledge of the sites that he guides is formidable. For example, on our trip to the mountains of Timna, Samuel gave a detailed account of the various people which inhabited the land and the archeological evidence for said inhabitation. I had limited knowledge of the canaanite people and he was able to elaborate in detail as to both their historical significance and way of life. Affability. Samuel’s has an engaging character and casual British wit. Further, he is a natural raconteur and many of his anecdotes were laugh-out-loud funny. This was particularly evident on the culinary tour of Hatikva market, where his playful banter with the market sellers and colourful stories of the origins of the food in question was something to behold. Just as importantly, his manner remained appropriate throughout and he struck just the right tone while giving his engaging explanations of sites of religious significance. All in all, I highly recommend Samuel as a guide.”
“It was a great pleasure and honor to have Samuel return for the fifth year to guide our annual policy trek, a delegation of 50 graduate students from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, throughout Israel. As one of the trek leaders, Sam did an excellent job at studying our itinerary and carefully weaving stories, multiple narratives and, when applicable, anecdotes into every stop on our tour. It is clear that Sam takes great pains to give a balanced and even-handed account of highly complex and contested sites in Israel. Sam certainly knows how to work a crowd to maintain good morale and vibes on long tour dates, often providing some comic relief with his corny "Dad" jokes and sharing some of his favorite Israeli songs accompanied by group dances on a charter bus. Sam made our trek experience deeply informative and memorable. This experience will undoubtedly remain with me and my colleagues for years to come.”
“Three summers running, he holds teenagers’ attention.”
“For the third summer in a row, I was lucky enough to have Samuel guide my teen leadership group’s summer travel days. Knowing I would be working alongside Samuel made everything easier for me before and during the trip. Samuel has many strengths (extremely knowledgeable, creative problem solver, knows all the good ice cream places!), but being a guide who has a clear vision of what he is going to share, and being able to hold the interest of teenagers while doing so, are rare qualities. Samuel also goes above and beyond the call of duty - he is always looking out for the best interests of the group, advocates on our behalf, and remains available to participants (and leaders!) even after the trip has ended. I know that my teens can always email him with questions about the places we visited or about Israel in general, and he is always happy to answer my questions or give me suggestions even when unrelated to our work together. I can’t recommend him enough!”
“At the Holy Sepulchre he pulled us aside for the hidden treasures.”
“1. Do you want to learn more? 2. Are you open to new ideas? 3. Are you ready to change your perspectives? 4. Can you listen to someone without being stubborn? Well, Samuel does all those things and he deserves to have customers who will do the same. Every conversation I had with him opened up my eyes to understanding a complex nation. He’s not a tour guide. He’s a friend, a teacher, and a wise man. He’s someone who will make you laugh on your trip, who will expand your mind, and will be there when you need someone. When our group of 45 people went to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, he pulled me and one other member (the only Catholics) aside and took the time to show us the hidden Catholic treasures. He is so personal that he made all 45 people on that trip have a completely unique experience. Whenever I had questions, he would answer them as honestly as possible, with as much background as he can possibly put into an answer. When one of the sites made me extremely anxious, he noticed right away and was able to calm me down. Want to get a tattoo like I did? Well, he has the tattoo artist on speed dial and was ready to call him to book us a last minute appointment. I’ll never forget this trip and it’s all because of the graciousness Samuel has shown. If you’re considering Samuel as your tour guide, be ready for an adventure. My advice? Ask him as many questions as possible. Get the most you can out of him because he is a special human being and he deserves to have his talents be given to the most curious travelers. He’s not just a tour guide for the time of your trip, he’s a lifelong friend.”
“Pre-teens, teenagers, parents and grandparents – he inspired us all.”
“Samuel guided our family track of 30 men, women and children through Tel Aviv and Jerusalem for a period of 8 days. It is not easy to involve and inspire pre-teens, teenagers, parents and grandparents all at the same time, but Samuel managed to accomplish this feat with a combination of humor, intellect, perspective and patience. My wife and I have been on tours to Israel with very excellent guides, but Samuel is clearly our favorite.”
“Samuel’s approach is to be our lifelong guide through Israel. He started planning with us long before our trip and continued with advice and answers even after wrapping up our two-day journey through Golan ending in Jerusalem by way of Bet She’an. His passion for Israel and her history comes through in the stories he shares at each site. Whether you’re a first timer to Israel (husband) or a repeat visitor (me), Samuel sets the foundation you’ll need to understand the architecture or historical significance of a site when visiting it. He crafted a route and included sites that matched our interest in Israeli history. He recommended places I’d not experienced so even my 3rd trip to Israel was new. During the drive he added valuable insight into religious history and politics and adjusted the itinerary as our interests evolved. I feel as if we’re going home more educated in all aspects of Israeli culture. (PS - he also helped us find cell phone repair 4 days after our journey ended). Samuel’s contact info is in my address book so I can quickly recommend him to friends headed his way.”
“A 5am start and a can-do attitude, with not a minute wasted.”
“I called Samuel at short notice to see if he could help provide a tour for me and some important business guests from overseas. As part of a 24 hour visit to Tel Aviv for meetings they had decided at the last minute that they would like to visit Jerusalem. Samuel was extremely flexible and I very much appreciated his can-do attitude, even when it meant leaving Tel Aviv at 5am the next day! He was considerate, asking if we would prefer some guiding or would rather sleep on the way to Jerusalem; and when we asked for the guiding he made sure to use the journey time well to provide some great background for our visit. This meant that when we arrived in the Old City we were able to delve straight in to the holy sites. Samuel was able to synthesize the key information and help us understand and appreciate the sites we visited, despite the short amount of time we had there. In just 90 minutes we were able to visit the Western Wall, enjoy a great viewpoint over the Temple Mount with an in depth explanation, and explore the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Crucially, Samuel kept track of the time and made sure that we were back in Tel Aviv in time for our meetings, without making us feel rushed or under pressure. I cannot recommend Samuel highly enough. He was entertaining, informative and bonded well with our group. Most importantly, he focused on our needs and interests and ensured we had a great tour within the restraints that we had. I will certainly be using his services in the future.”
“As we were in Israel for Business we managed to free up few hours to visit Jerusalem. Sam managed 2 things perfectly : 1. During the transit between Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, he went through the history of Jerusalem and explained very well how history has shaped this city. This was key to understand what we saw 2. The tour which we made in the city went very effectively through most of the key landmarks. I really recommend Sam and will for sure keep his details closely to share with any friends visiting Israel.”
“Presents multiple perspectives on complicated topics.”
“My Graduate program toured Israel with Sam and he was incredible. His knowledge base is wide and his humor is on point. Sam truly knows how to present and discuss multiple perspectives on complicated topics, delve into history’s lesser known facts, and keep groups engaged for days on end. Thank you, Sam! My tour was amazing!”
“Catholic schools my whole life and he knows the New Testament better.”
“I’ve had the privilege of seeing Israel with Samuel as my tour guide twice now. I can’t imagine going to Israel without Samuel’s guidance. I have been attending Catholic schools my entire life and I think it safe to say that Samuel knows much more about the New Testament then I do. In fact, I’m always amazed with how much knowledge Samuel brings to the table. He also offers many different narratives and explains the many different points of views that the people of Israel hold. I’m so grateful to call Samuel my friend. I know that I’ll be recommending him as a tour guide to family and friends who visit Israel!! Toda ahi!!”
“Samuel is super knowledgeable about Israel and knows how to explain complex issues and concepts in a clear manner. Straightforward, balanced, and honest-- If he has an opinion on an issue, he’ll tell you, but he’s not trying to indoctrinate anyone with his views.”
“Ancient and modern Jewish texts opened up Tel Aviv.”
“We asked Samuel to give students (ages 18-19) a tour of “Jewish Tel Aviv”. He led a fantastic tour that included interesting and unexpected destinations and information about the modern city. Samuel was able to really engage the students through ancient and modern Jewish texts, which helped pieced together a Jewish perspective of Tel Aviv that they had never considered before. Samuel was very generous with his time and hospitality. He has wealth of knowledge and is very good at tailoring the tour to fit the requirements and requests of the group. Additionally he is very responsible, communicative, and will do everything to ensure the tour goes smoothly. Highly recommended!”
“Happy to offer different narratives on complex and controversial topics.”
“Having been to Israel multiple times in the past, I was looking to go a bit off the beaten path and learn in depth about the early development of Tel Aviv and through it, the beginnings of modern Israel. Samuel readily tailored a tour to match exactly what I was looking for and also to fit in with my schedule between other appointments. He was a brilliant guide and I learnt so much about Israel’s development, the growth of Tel Aviv and patterns of migration. He was happy to offer different narratives when exploring complex and controversial topics in this historical period, and to have open discussion about contemporary challenges. I would certainly recommend Samuel for anyone looking for a tour that is perfectly matched to your interests, no matter how specific, and in general for anyone looking for a memorable and enjoyable experience in Israel.”

“First-class feedback from our VIP guests”
“We commissioned Samuel to guide corporate VIP guests of UK Israel Business around Jerusalem and received first class feedback from our guests. I wouldn’t hesitate to engage with Samuel again and look forward to next time.”

“The best guide they’d ever had, and I’m booking next year.”
“Even though it’s been almost a month since we finished the Wharton Israel Trek, I keep on getting emails and calls from the trekkers about the wonderful time they had on the trek. I know I thanked you several times now, but now that the survey results are in, it seems that a large part of the reason these people are thanking me is you :) People have told us that you were the best tour guide they ever had; the biggest compliment came from one of the participants, when she told me that she’s planning to send her parents to Israel, and to make sure you show them around. You were great, and I’m already booking you for next year’s trek :)”
Oded Porath, Wharton Israel Trek leader
“He kept us totally enthralled — fascinating historical context for some, and games for others.”
“Samuel led a tour for about 20 members of my family in Caesarea. For someone else, this could have been a challenging group - it was blazing hot and the participants ranged in age from 8 to 78, with a good smattering of not easily impressed teenagers, some Israelis who had been to Caesarea many times and some in Israel for the first time. Sam kept us all more than interested, he kept us totally enthralled, with fascinating information about the historical context for some, and games for others. He paid such good attention to the specific needs of our group, and because of this everyone had a great time and thought I was brilliant for finding him. I couldn’t recommend Samuel more highly and will definitely book him again next time my family is in town.”
Sarah Goldberg, Tel Aviv
“Expert and personable at once.”
“When working with Samuel on the trip’s agenda, I was impressed by his dedication to tailor a trip that will meet our group’s unique characteristics. Samuel delivered the content in the most interesting, interactive and unique way, keeping our attendees present and attentive to his explanations. The history of Israel can be long, confusing and hard to relate to, especially when many of the participants have never heard about these stories prior to the trip. Samuel’s unique guiding style led our group to be constantly engaged with the material and remember the stories long after we left the country. Samuel is very good at walking the line between being an expert on a subject matter and being friendly and personal. In between giving commentary on the landscape seen from the bus, preparing for the next landmark on the agenda and ensuring we have lunch waiting for us when we get off the bus, Samuel made sure to connect with our attendees on a personal level. By the end of the trip, all our attendees felt like Samuel was “one of the crew” and expressed hope to meet again in the future. Samuel is a very personable man. Friendly and professional, he has good interpersonal skills that lead him to work well with the partners and suppliers throughout the trip. Building rapport while expecting high output, Samuel led our group to have a great experience with the bus driver, hotel staff and restaurants management throughout the trip. In closing, the experience with Samuel during our trip surpassed all my expectations. Samuel’s unique personality, quality of delivery and willingness to “jump in” to our group’s culture made our trip unforgettable. I believe he would be a tremendous asset to any group visiting Israel.”
Noa Elan, Berkeley Haas Israel Trek leader
“Kept students engaged – from history to politics and business.”
“Samuel was not only a knowledgeable tour guide, he has a great sense of humor and kept students engaged and interested in everything from ancient to modern history, politics, religion, economics, and business – just what you would hope in a first class Israeli tour guide. I recommend him without hesitation!”

“Great tour guide for Jerusalem”
“We hired Samuel to take my 21-year old son, my husband, and I on a one-day tour of the Old City in Jerusalem. Samuel was great at communicating by email before our trip, and met us by one of the gates to the Old City. At the end of the day, we were meeting some relatives for dinner nearby and he was kind enough to walk us over to where we were meeting them so we wouldn’t get lost. I decided on Samuel for our tour because of his excellent academic background--it was clear from his website that he was not the run-of-the-mill guide and indeed we were not disappointed. Samuel was not only knowledgeable, he framed the whole day in a thematic way which helped to tie together the three major religions represented in Jerusalem. We were able to visit not only the major churches, synagogues, archaeological sites, and the Temple Mount, we also enjoyed a fun lunch at a small restaurant in the Old City that offered delicious hummus and other local treats. We also visited an Arab pastry shop that we would never have found on our own that is a real secret in the Old City. One of the benefits of a private tour was that we were able to go at our own speed and not feel rushed at any one site. I highly recommend Samuel for any Israeli tour. In addition to his fantastic knowledge of Israel, he has a good sense of humor and was a very pleasant person to spend the day with!”
“Samuel lead a group of us (about 40) throughout the country and he was an outstanding tour guide. Not only was he friendly, funny, and engaging, but he is super knowledgable about Israeli history, culture, politics, geography, you name it. I know because I asked him a hundred questions trying to stump him and each time he had an interesting and insightful answer. His dining and bar recommendations are great, and he can help guide you towards whatever it is you’re interested in seeing or experiencing. Highly recommend.”
“We have used many tour guides all over the world....Samuel established a new top standard! Three couples spent all day touring Old Jaffa and Tel Aviv. Very good...wonderful pace...in depth knowledge! Highly recommend Samuel to the world!”
“We were the second family members to tour with Samuel, our daughter first had him with a group and suggested we use him for a private tour. He was wonderful! Samuel is highly educated and knowledgeable. He makes cross references which helped us to place what we were experiencing in historical and current perspectives. He was responsive to our list of sites to see and added his own favorites as well to carry out an overall theme covering geography; archeology; the layers of history, religion and politics, and current issues. He was very communicative in advance of our trip so we could together decide our priorities - this gave us a chance to do some advance reading. He made sure that we were comfortable on the day of the trip including suggesting we dress in layers for the expected weather during the day, and remained ready to modify our plans if we needed to or wanted to. His concern for our well being extended to suggesting a dinner location and making a reservation in advance for us. We felt that we learned so much from Samuel’s tour and whole heartedly recommend him to others. Thanks Samuel for introducing us to the fascinating ancient and current city of Jerusalem.”
“Our daughter recently got married in Israel and we decided to arrange a tour a day or two before the wedding for some of our guests. How delighted we are that we chose Samuel. Our guests (some of whom have travelled extensively and had guided tours before) said he was the best tour guide they had ever met. His knowledge was second to none and apart from his amazing knowledge, he made the tour such fun. He really has a great personality. He also tailored the tour to the ability of the guests and even had contingency plans in place in case of rain. We would most definitely recommend him to anybody coming to Israel. He will truly enhance anyone’s visit. Our guests are still talking about the tour. Thank you Samuel!”
“Bringing in a world-renowned professor for a talk in Israel, I was tasked with finding a tour guide that would provide a tour whose quality was commensurate with the professor’s incredible breadth of knowledge and understanding. Samuel came highly recommended, and my guest was incredibly impressed with the tour! (to my chagrin, he may have enjoyed the tour more than the event that I invited him for) Samuel picked up my guest from the hotel in Herzliya and drove with him down to Jerusalem. My understanding is that this is part of Samuel’s professional guidance. As you travel to you destination, Samuel provides all the relevant background information so that, while touring, you can focus on the touring and better appreciate the sites. In this case, the sites included: Temple Mount the Western Wall and the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Overall an excellent experience.”
“Samuel is the only tour guide in Israel you’ll ever need, if you want a truly fascinating, authentic experience that is customized to your needs and preferences. 10/10. Before the tour: My girlfriend and I contacted Samuel a few weeks prior about a full day tour of Jerusalem. Right away he was very responsive, suggesting itineraries and asking of about our preferences. We felt truly catered to. Logistics were a breeze and Samuel’s pricing is transparent and in-line with other top private tour guides in Israel. During the tour: We spent a full day in Jerusalem with Samuel until we were ready to return home.We never felt rushed to complete the tour. One of the things that separates Samuel from any other tour guide, is his vast and diverse knowledge of history, geography, architecture, cuisine, politics, present-day life, and other topics. Jerusalem is so diverse and has such a rich historic and present-day significance that is it important to have a guide with the right depth and breadth of knowledge. Flexibility is also key. While some stops along the tour were planned (Mount of Olives, Via Dolorosa, etc.) we decided to play the rest of the tour by ear. Wherever we went, Samuel was able to provide relevant and interesting information. When we were hungry, Samuel knew just the right places to stop for a snack, try local cuisine, and take a break. Another thing that separates Samuel from many other tour guides, is his ability to keep you engaged and entertained for a full day - a tall order for anyone! He wove our experiences and stops into themes, organized stories around where we were, and made us feel like we were coming away with a true understanding of the spirit of Jerusalem. And he did it all with great humor and enthusiasm! During your tour, make sure to communicate with Samuel about your needs! Whether it’s a site you want to explore, need to take a break, or anything else, he will make sure that your needs are met. We returned home fully satisfied and inspired by the experience. After the tour: Samuel made sure that we were satisfied with our trip. He later followed up with a few pictures he’d taken along the way, which was much appreciated. When we return, another tour with Samuel will be on the top of our list of things to do.”
“We were in Israel (my wife, eldest son and his girlfriend)during this past summer and utilized Samuel for 3 days of touring. Samuel lived up to all the accolades on previous reviews. He was very flexible and made sure to provide something for everyone on the trip. I highly recommend him. He will put together a tour based on your interests.”
“Samuel was our group’s guide (35 graduate students) throughout a two week tour of Jordan and Israel. Thanks to his hard work and attention to detail, he made our full itinerary run smoothly and seamlessly. As the group leader, I am so grateful for everything that Samuel did to make the trip such a great success. His in-depth knowledge of the area covered everything from history to politics to pop culture. He was willing to tackle any topic in which the group was interested, and did it in a very fun and informative way. He has a calming demeanor and a great sense of humor, and it was truly a pleasure to work with him. His engaging manner endeared him to our group and we were sad to say farewell to him at the end of our amazing two weeks. I can’t say enough great things about Samuel, and would recommend him to anyone going to Israel.”
“Samuel put together a perfect day exploring highlights for our family of four (two adults and two teenagers) in Jerusalem. We wanted a mix of history, the old city, new and the Yad Vashim. The tour and info he put together for us was engaging, educational and captivating. Our children were not bored once and we all still think the day we spent with Samuel was the highlight of our trip to Israel. An exceptional tour was provided by Samuel, we highly recommend.”
“Sam made my trip to Israel much more meaningful and fun. He is always willing to answer questions, provide help and explain historical and political stories in an interesting and fun way. Little initiatives like "song of the day" helped us immerse in the culture of Israel more deeply than would have been otherwise possible. I spent a week in Israel and have no doubts that my experience would not have been as amazing without Sam!”
“I really enjoyed my time in Israel because of him. He is very knowledgeable and fun. He told a lot of interesting histories and stories, and most importantly he told it in a fun way. I was in Israel for about a week and I visited Tel Aviv, Jaffa, Jerusalem, Nazareth, and Capernaum. I also went to holocaust museum which I think one of the most memorable experience to me. Because of Sam, I’m able to understand more about Israel and see it from a lot of different angles, from history, bible, Jew’s, Christian’s and Muslim’s perspective. Also, he has an interesting app that helps me to organize my itinerary better. Thank you, Sam!”
“Sam is one of the best tour guides I’ve ever had. He’s knowledgeable, humorous, and helpful. There’s a certain element of poetry to his storytelling on the tours. He also passes around a "ask Sam anything" notebook. We wrote all kinds of interesting questions on there, to which he always provided interesting answers.”
“Samuel Green is such a knowledgeable and fun person to travel with. Plus, he is one the best story tellers I’ve ever met. He made my trip more meaningful in every way. 强烈推荐啊,找他还可以练标准伦敦英语😬😬😬”
“Samuel is an amazing storyteller that presented the history of Tel Aviv in a very unique way we had not experienced elsewhere in any of our travels. There was not question too difficult: architecture to grafetti, history and so much more. We spent 7 hours walking from Jaffe, to Florentin, Neve Tzedek, and onto Rothschild Blvd to Sarona Market: an exciting story everywhere we went - truly exceptional.”
“Samuel’s knowledge is excellent and he’s a great story-teller. It was amusing and fun, at a good pace to keep the group interested and included several points of interest not noticeable to the average tourist. I’d thoroughly recommend Samuel’s tour.”
“Samuel took us on a tour around Jaffa and was excellent. He’s incredibly knowledgeable, passionate and funny. I would recommend Samuel for tours across Israel”
“Great storyteller, excellent guide, great choice of sites.”
“Sam’s tour of Old Jaffa kept up a good pace, just right for us with our toddler daughter. Around 9 or 10 stops, mostly with sitting space, all with shade; at each stop Sam told one story, briefly sketching the historical background, and together they made up a mosaic from the town’s 4,000 year history. Altogether he covered a lot of ground, without any of the stops feeling heavy or lecture-like. Sam is a great storyteller and covered history, mythology, and a few grey areas in between, never forgetting the backdrop of the modern-day city. Thoroughly enjoyable and we learned a lot.”
“Samuel took my husband and I on a day tour around Jerusalem. He was a great guide, tailors the tour to your interests and has a wealth of knowledge to share. Highly recommended, you won’t be disappointed.”
“I contacted Samuel to organize a private guided tour for my father and I as we traveled, and I cannot adequately express how happy I am that we chose him as our guide. He was courteous, knowledgeable, and professional while also being totally flexible when my father and I needed to make adjustments to our daily itinerary for one reason or another. He was very thoughtful in the itinerary he prepared for us, bringing us to open air markets to enjoy Israel’s incredible food culture and to the Supreme court after learning that both my father and I work as attorneys. Truly, I cannot recommend him highly enough.”
“Samuel guided nearly 100 MBAs this summer on my trip in May 2016. His ability to manage different personalities and interests throughout the entire trip is a testament to his professionalism and adaptability. Whether your interest is ancient Jewish history or the modern socio-political situation of the Middle East, Samuel’s knowledge allowed him to educate and entertain deeply. My favorite memories from our tour are his stories: from Masada to the Syrian border to Jaffa, Samuel’s storytelling engages listeners and reveals different facets of Israeli culture. I also appreciated his ability to be self-critical and present an objective perspective to events and attitudes in a high-tension environment. I would seek his services if you: -want a fantastic, professional tour of Israel -want to enjoy your vacation -are excited about meeting great people I would not seek his services if you: -don’t enjoy life -don’t like learning -are looking for a crappy vacation Samuel also has an incredible secret skill you should ask him about when you meet him.”
“A knowledgable, relatable, flexible and fun guide!”
“Samuel guided my group of Canadian teens from a youth leadership program for a couple weeks in July 2016. Before the trip, he checked in with me multiple times and we worked together to clarify the educational goals of the group and the trip. Throughout our touring, Samuel weaved in our themes and helped to make each stop relevant to the group. He has a calm and friendly guiding style with which the teens really connected. They also vocalized throughout the trip how much they were learning from him. In my experience with bringing groups to Israel, it is rare to find a guide that is always focused on the group’s needs and goals without getting carried away by their own interests that may be less relatable to the teens. Samuel did an excellent job of reading the group, keeping energy up, and developing a personal bond with the teens. I would definitely recommend Samuel for any type trip you may be planning.”
“I was lucky enough to go on a 10 day Taglit Birthright tour this summer. My tour leaders were very friendly, but it was Samuel who really made the trip special. He went above and beyond to make sure our itinerary ran smoothly, and he was extremely knowledgeable about everything to do with Israel. He is charismatic and brings his charming sense of British humour to his tour programming. I will never forget experiencing Shabbat at the Western Wall, walking through Jerusalem at night, or hiking Masada while listening to Saumel’s stories about the history of this amazing country. His patience with our group and his expertise as a tour guide made my trip a success. Thank you Samuel!”
“Samuel was our guide for a 10 day Taglit Birthright experience, touring the country from the North to the Negev. Samuel is a passionate, talented, and extremely knowledgeable guide, who can adapt his style to any group type. With his charming British accent, Samuel provides lots of context to the various sites in Israel - something which is rare and essential to anyone who wishes to fully understand Israel from a variety of perspectives. Highly recommended.”
“Amazing tour experience with Samuel across Israel”
“Samuel was our guide during a 10 day trip all across Israel. In addition to being extremely knowledgeable about Israeli history, culture, music, and more, he is also very funny and responsive to his group’s needs. For any travelers looking for a guide to learn more about Israel, I would recommend him highly!”
“This was a cool thing to do for an evening in Jaffa. Samuel is an awesome guide and story teller. His approach definitely makes it a lot more interesting than the typical historical tour. Highly recommend.”
“My recent trip to Israel was excellent, and Samuel made a huge difference! Samuel was not only was he very knowledgeable about the sites, history, and culture but also very personable. He took the time to get to know everyone in our group, which is something I find rare in guides. Samuel also was willing to engage in conversation about every aspect of life in Israel: the good, the bad, and the ugly. I enjoyed the balanced dialogue that we had and the respect shown to different points of view. He helped me gain a greater understanding of diversity in Israel, with all of its strengths and weaknesses. In addition to all of that, he’s simply a fun guy to be around. He showed us some new artists and musicians to look up when we got home and even helped us prepare for our dance off with other groups that we met. Go with Samuel, you can’t go wrong. He’s also very good at adapting the tours/ dialogue to the background and interests of his guests. I highly recommend him.”
“We have been going to TLV for years and the only thing that came out of that tour is that we should have done it a long time ago. Samuel gave us an insight on how the city has been shaping itself since its inception, both on a historical and religious level, with a hint of poetry... It is the City of Dreamers as he says, and he is definitely one of them. We highly recommend him and we will definitely call him again next time we are in Israel.”
“Samuel provided a great and thorough background as we traveled across the country. There are so many difficult topics to address ranging from history - religion - to politics, and Samuel was always willing to provide a detailed narrative to help us understand each of our questions better.”
“Samuel was fantastic and his tour led us to reevaluate our views on religion, politics and the holocaust. Samuel’s tour was a relaxing, interesting, funny and thought provoking at the same time. He has the perfect demeanor for this. Definitely the highlight of our Israel trip. I would recommend him to anyone.”
“Choosing Samuel as our guide was probably the best decision my father and I made in Israel. We used 2 different guides on 2 differnet days, and Samuel was by far our favorite in so many aspects. Not only was he knowledgeable, personable, unbiased, hilarious, and engaging, but he completely customized our day to fit exactly what we were looking for (an overview of all of Jerusalem with a lot of time spent on Biblical history specifically in Zion). He gave us a variety (but not too many) of options to fit our needs (including some tricky dietary needs for lunch!). He checked in with us throughout the day to see if we wanted to change anything, slow down, spend more time in one place, etc. I’m not sure how he managed to fit so much into our short time-frame, but he did it with ease. He kept us up-to-date on current events as well as giving us a thorough background of historical events. Through email exchanges prior to arriving, he was able to prioritize the sites and activities to ensure we got the most out of our short stay in Israel. We were so comfortable with him leading us that it felt as if he were a close relative. And to top it all off, Samuel has an incredible hidden talent...rapping! We were fortunate enough to hear him perform at the end of our tour. Overall, if you are even remotely considering hiring a tour guide, you need to choose him. I would highly recommned it (especially if it is your first time visiting Israel). It’s a decision you will not regret. Thank you for such an intriguing and enjoyable time!”
“Samuel was the most wonderful tour guide I could have imagined. He not only informed us about so many interesting facets of Israel, but kept us entertained on the many hours on the bus with his charming British humor and wittiness. Thank you so much for this wonderful experience!”
“Having Samuel as our trip’s guide in Israel was one of the best aspects of the trip. He is a great well of information about Israeli history, music, culture, and anything else you can think of. He was also really engaging for the entire week and kept our groups attention the entire time. Before we came, he researched the kind of topics our group (an IR grad school contingent) would be interested in so he was prepared for all the questions we asked. Also, (as we were studying conflict resolution) I found he gave us a very unbiased perspective of the current happenings in Israel which I really appreciated.”
“Samuel is one of the best tour guides I have ever had. The depth and breadth of his knowledge is truly amazing. He also manages to keep you engaged, even after 6 hours of walking around in the heat. His sense of humor is great, and keeps you hanging on his every word!”
“Samuel is an amazing tour guide! He was our (a group of 40 students) tour guide for a week as we travelled all over Israel. Each day he had a different theme of things we were going to see/learn about, which really helped with processing everything we saw. He introduced us to Israel culture and is very knowledgable about all the sites we visited as well as the history of Israel. He answered all our questions, including silly ones that were just for a laugh. He also made sure to get to know every single person on the trip. It was an incredible experience, made even better by having an amazing guide!”
“From history, legends, geography, music and more, Sam is like a story fountain that never dries. He knows a lot about Israeli music, too. Ask him for recommendations and he will fill your trip with music all along!”
