“Best decision we made!”

“Choosing Samuel as our guide was probably the best decision my father and I made in Israel. We used 2 different guides on 2 differnet days, and Samuel was by far our favorite in so many aspects. Not only was he knowledgeable, personable, unbiased, hilarious, and engaging, but he completely customized our day to fit exactly what we were looking for (an overview of all of Jerusalem with a lot of time spent on Biblical history specifically in Zion). He gave us a variety (but not too many) of options to fit our needs (including some tricky dietary needs for lunch!). He checked in with us throughout the day to see if we wanted to change anything, slow down, spend more time in one place, etc. I’m not sure how he managed to fit so much into our short time-frame, but he did it with ease. He kept us up-to-date on current events as well as giving us a thorough background of historical events. Through email exchanges prior to arriving, he was able to prioritize the sites and activities to ensure we got the most out of our short stay in Israel. We were so comfortable with him leading us that it felt as if he were a close relative. And to top it all off, Samuel has an incredible hidden talent...rapping! We were fortunate enough to hear him perform at the end of our tour. Overall, if you are even remotely considering hiring a tour guide, you need to choose him. I would highly recommned it (especially if it is your first time visiting Israel). It’s a decision you will not regret. Thank you for such an intriguing and enjoyable time!”

“A great guide for a great tour of Israel.”

“Sam is a phenomenal tour guide. He’s extremely knowledgable about the myriad facets of life in Israel as well as the history of the region, and he’s got a great sense of humor. He is honest and forthright in his responses to group questions. I’m very happy to have had him as my guide on my first trip to Israel.”

“Really exciting trip with Samuel”

“It is my first time travel to Israel, so full of curiosity and excitement. Samuel is absolutely the best tour guide that I have ever had. He told us Jewish history and stories with smooth tone, but I can feel that his inner faith connects with the land. He is supper smart, thoughtful, and considerate. If I come back some day, I want to have Samuel as my tour guide again.”

“Touring the Old City! What a day.”

“Samuel was recommended by a friend in Israel. It was my first time in a country so I was coming in a little blind. He met me after one of my meetings and we headed to Jerusalem from Tel Aviv. I was most curious about this history of the region so he spend the cab ride taking me through the rough overview (he even had a book of exhibits to visually illustrate what was going on!). I (only half jokingly) said that the education on the cab ride alone made the day worth it! After a great hummus stop for lunch, he took me through the Old City in Jerusalem. I got to see the obvious sites, and some of the less obvious sites (I’m a foodie so the secret back alley tahini factory was a great addition). I’d say he never left my side, but that’s not entirely true because at the Western Wall he couldn’t join me on the ladies side so patiently waited at the ladies entrance while I took my time in there. We hit all of the major religious sites. He did a great job of walking me through all of the different areas in a thoughtful and unbiased way, which I was definitely looking for. We stopped at the Israel Museum last, where I got an overview of Israel from an archaeological perspective. Overall, I was thrilled. I got the historical, religious, and archaeological perspectives of the day. Both my brainiac and explorer sides were fully satisfied. Thanks Samuel!!”

“Unforgettable and enlightening trip around Israel!”

“Samuel exceeded all expectations as a tour guide and somehow managed to juggle explaining complicated history and shepherding 50 exhausted students. This was my first time visiting Israel and I am confident that Samuel gave us a comprehensive and unbiased overview of the various topics that our tour covered. We traveled across Israel in a matter of a few days and Samuel expertly navigated us through the trip with light humor, grace, and an open mind. Would recommend him to any newcomers, regulars, or just plain old curious people.”

“Excellent and Very Knowledgeable Tour Guide in Israel”

“Samuel is an amazing tour guide, combining a wealth of knowledge, the talent of story telling and a very down-to-earth manner - all of which make touring with Samuel such a joy. We did a two-day tour: one in Tel Aviv/Jaffa and the other in Jerusalem. Samuel prepared the tour by asking us what interested us generally and what we would like to do. From then, he tailored the tour exactly, while allowing a lot of flexibility during the tour. He brought the cities to life with stories of history and mythologies, along with people he know during the tour, e.g., a wonderful chef or the spice shop owner in Carmel Market. During the tour, he is also very attentive to our needs so that he could tailor the tour as we go. We highly recommend Samuel, whether it’s your first time to Israel or want someone who is extremely knowledgable about Israel to provide you with an even deeper insight into a wonderful country.”

“First Visit to Israel”

“I recently visited Israel with other law students as part of a 10-day vacation. Our tour guide, Samuel did an exceptional job of answering our many questions and providing wonderful food recommendations. Samuel was with us during the entire vacation and our group was blessed to have such a charismatic, intelligent, and overall, awesome person as our guide. Samuel not only is an expert on all things Israel, but his explanations are crafted in such a way that you are transported to ancient times. It was a beautiful and unforgettable experience to have tangible history right before you eyes, coupled with a great guide that explains history in an intriguing and fun way. More than a dates and facts, Samuel told a story that I will cherish for the rest of my life.”

“An insightful unforgettable visit to Israel”

“This was my first time in Israel. I was traveling with friends from my graduate program(International Relations), many of whom are experts in issues in the middle east. Sam made an amazing job in guiding us through the country leading interesting conversations and discussions balancing those who knew a lot about the region with those who where not familiar with the many historical and political issues Israel has. He allows room for questions and encourages interesting discussions among any type of group. He is a great guide for all types of people and interests, he is a great person to travel with rigorously answering all our questions while also understanding and allowing time to see the attractions and have your own space. He definitely made our experience unforgettable.”

“Jaffa and Tel Aviv”

“Samuel led a customized 1/2 day tour of Jaffa and Tel Aviv for me and my wife who are both of retirement age. As this was our first trip to Israel and only 8 days in total, we stayed in central Tel Aviv and booked a tour with Samuel on our first day to get a feel for the city and the country. Samuel grew up in the UK and his English is impeccable; email communication to arrange the trip was simple and quick. He met us at our accommodation at the appointed time and took us by cab to Jaffa, where we spent several hours walking through the old city and its remarkable attractions. Samuel is very informative, funny, responsive to questions, and patient--in short, an excellent teacher. In Jaffa, we saw the sights and heard the lore of an ancient city From there, we traveled by cab back to Tel Aviv (Neve Tzedek) and picked up the story of the Zionist movement and the establishment of modern Israel. Samuel is very adept at pointing out important locations and using historical maps and other visual aids to illustrate what he says. After a half day, my wife and I had learned an immense amount and possessed a much improved, high-level understanding of 4,000 years of history in the region, which gave us a strong foundation on which to build the rest of our visit. We can’t recomment Samuel highly enough.”
