“A bespoke tour, accommodating the little ones.”
“Samuel is a talented guide who took us around Jerusalem with our 2 young daughters (2&3 years old). He was very flexible and tried to accommodate everyone including the little ones by designing a bespoke tour according to our experiences, preferences and passions. We started with a visit of the old city: Western Wall, Church of the Holy Sepulchre. We carried on in the afternoon with the science museum for the little ones and an Israeli wine tasting. On top of being very knowledgeable and educated (MA in Hebrew and Israeli studies from Cambridge) Samuel pays a lot of attention to small details even for the little ones. We had an unforgettable experience and even found some time to speak about geopolitics in the region. We would recommend Samuel without any hesitation.”
“Pre-teens, teenagers, parents and grandparents – he inspired us all.”
“Samuel guided our family track of 30 men, women and children through Tel Aviv and Jerusalem for a period of 8 days. It is not easy to involve and inspire pre-teens, teenagers, parents and grandparents all at the same time, but Samuel managed to accomplish this feat with a combination of humor, intellect, perspective and patience. My wife and I have been on tours to Israel with very excellent guides, but Samuel is clearly our favorite.”
“He kept us totally enthralled — fascinating historical context for some, and games for others.”
“Samuel led a tour for about 20 members of my family in Caesarea. For someone else, this could have been a challenging group - it was blazing hot and the participants ranged in age from 8 to 78, with a good smattering of not easily impressed teenagers, some Israelis who had been to Caesarea many times and some in Israel for the first time. Sam kept us all more than interested, he kept us totally enthralled, with fascinating information about the historical context for some, and games for others. He paid such good attention to the specific needs of our group, and because of this everyone had a great time and thought I was brilliant for finding him. I couldn’t recommend Samuel more highly and will definitely book him again next time my family is in town.”

“Outstanding tour guide!”
“I had Sam as a three day tour guide throughout Israel. Sam is an outstanding tour guide as he: - Gives life to ancient places with the right depth of information! - Is passionate about Israel and tour guiding, which energizes the group at all times - Is extremely structured when presenting places and infos, most likely due to his unique business background :) - Goes above and beyond to make sure the group is having a great time - Remains flexible at all times to change schedule if the group wants it - It is fun to spend time with! A very important feature when you have to drive for hours and spend days with :P I would recommend Sam to anyone who wants to visit Israel!!”
“Samuel took my mother and I for a fantastic tour of Tel Aviv. He was extremely knowledgeable, passionate, and engaging. Whether you’re a local or visiting Israel for the first time, you will learn a ton from Samuel and have a great time exploring. I can’t wait to take another tour with Samuel. Highly recommended!”
“Samuel is knowledgeable and makes touring Israel an extraoridary experience. We visited Israel over Pesach and wanted an excellent tour guide who would show us and teach us all the things that we would never be able to do on our own. Samuel was the perfect guide. We hired him for a week and he planned a perfect experience. Our teens loved him. He tells great stories and offers an interesting perspective. He is funny and not overbearing. We very much enjoyed spending our vacation with him. A little known secret is that he is also a rapper.”
“Choosing Samuel as our guide was probably the best decision my father and I made in Israel. We used 2 different guides on 2 differnet days, and Samuel was by far our favorite in so many aspects. Not only was he knowledgeable, personable, unbiased, hilarious, and engaging, but he completely customized our day to fit exactly what we were looking for (an overview of all of Jerusalem with a lot of time spent on Biblical history specifically in Zion). He gave us a variety (but not too many) of options to fit our needs (including some tricky dietary needs for lunch!). He checked in with us throughout the day to see if we wanted to change anything, slow down, spend more time in one place, etc. I’m not sure how he managed to fit so much into our short time-frame, but he did it with ease. He kept us up-to-date on current events as well as giving us a thorough background of historical events. Through email exchanges prior to arriving, he was able to prioritize the sites and activities to ensure we got the most out of our short stay in Israel. We were so comfortable with him leading us that it felt as if he were a close relative. And to top it all off, Samuel has an incredible hidden talent...rapping! We were fortunate enough to hear him perform at the end of our tour. Overall, if you are even remotely considering hiring a tour guide, you need to choose him. I would highly recommned it (especially if it is your first time visiting Israel). It’s a decision you will not regret. Thank you for such an intriguing and enjoyable time!”
“Great storyteller, excellent guide, great choice of sites.”
“Sam’s tour of Old Jaffa kept up a good pace, just right for us with our toddler daughter. Around 9 or 10 stops, mostly with sitting space, all with shade; at each stop Sam told one story, briefly sketching the historical background, and together they made up a mosaic from the town’s 4,000 year history. Altogether he covered a lot of ground, without any of the stops feeling heavy or lecture-like. Sam is a great storyteller and covered history, mythology, and a few grey areas in between, never forgetting the backdrop of the modern-day city. Thoroughly enjoyable and we learned a lot.”
“Samuel put together a perfect day exploring highlights for our family of four (two adults and two teenagers) in Jerusalem. We wanted a mix of history, the old city, new and the Yad Vashim. The tour and info he put together for us was engaging, educational and captivating. Our children were not bored once and we all still think the day we spent with Samuel was the highlight of our trip to Israel. An exceptional tour was provided by Samuel, we highly recommend.”
“We were in Israel (my wife, eldest son and his girlfriend)during this past summer and utilized Samuel for 3 days of touring. Samuel lived up to all the accolades on previous reviews. He was very flexible and made sure to provide something for everyone on the trip. I highly recommend him. He will put together a tour based on your interests.”
“We hired Samuel to take my 21-year old son, my husband, and I on a one-day tour of the Old City in Jerusalem. Samuel was great at communicating by email before our trip, and met us by one of the gates to the Old City. At the end of the day, we were meeting some relatives for dinner nearby and he was kind enough to walk us over to where we were meeting them so we wouldn’t get lost. I decided on Samuel for our tour because of his excellent academic background--it was clear from his website that he was not the run-of-the-mill guide and indeed we were not disappointed. Samuel was not only knowledgeable, he framed the whole day in a thematic way which helped to tie together the three major religions represented in Jerusalem. We were able to visit not only the major churches, synagogues, archaeological sites, and the Temple Mount, we also enjoyed a fun lunch at a small restaurant in the Old City that offered delicious hummus and other local treats. We also visited an Arab pastry shop that we would never have found on our own that is a real secret in the Old City. One of the benefits of a private tour was that we were able to go at our own speed and not feel rushed at any one site. I highly recommend Samuel for any Israeli tour. In addition to his fantastic knowledge of Israel, he has a good sense of humor and was a very pleasant person to spend the day with!”
“Upper Galilee & Golan Heights with Samuel Green!”
“Had good fortune to be part of a small - but select! - family group, guided by Samuel Green April 21st/2019. We visited the Golan Heights & saw what had been Syrian HQ...a 2-storey concrete (scary) building. Samuel took us to the Hula valley - where we watched a 4D -somewhat giddy-making - film of the incredible pink flamingos who stop off in Israel during their migration & emigration. (One MUST go to see this in actuality - the sight of wall-to-wall flamingos and the cacophonous noise coming from their thousands is a personal experience never-to-be forgotten).. We visited - also - a chocolatier’s factory and do-it-yourself chocolate workshop....(shall not make this a career choice!).....my somewhat failure ameliorated by much enjoyable wine-tasting next door. Samuel did great job in pointing out marvellous landmarks on our journey - and explaining their significance. I am very happy to recommend him to visitors from any/all religions and countries - Samuel will tailor-make your memorable experience.”
“Samuel arranged for us to have a spectacular day out while we were staying in the North of Israel. We learned about the bird migration (which he also helped explain) had a stunning walk. The day was topped off by a visit to the chocolate making factory (we even got to make our own bars) and wine tasting. Highly recommended, a great day out for the whole family.”
“Sam was such an excellent guide. After touring around the country for over 10 days and having a variety of guides, Sam was by far the most outstanding of all of them. We had a very large group with ages ranging from small children to senior citizens and each and every person thoroughly enjoyed The experience. We toured Jafa and the Carmel market with him - he created a custom scavenger hunt for the children to better enjoy the market, and it was extremely creative and fun for everyone involved . We highly recommend using Sam, and will most certainly be using him again on our next trip to Israel !!”
“Best Tour Guide I’ve ever had across 60 countries”
“Sam is a rockstar. He’s from the UK and graduated from Cambridge. Way overqualified for the role! English is is first language. Very smart and personable and cares a lot about his profession and the people he is guiding. He took my parents, my fiance and I on a tour through the Galilee to walk in Jesus’ footsteps. He planned a perfect day. We saw and did everything we wanted to + more and he added the right amount of context from the bible, from other recorded history and from his own knowledge of the sites. My fiance and I made fast friends with Sam (the 3 of us are in our 20s/30s) and my parents (in their 60s) both loved him as well. His knowledge of both the Old and New testament were amazing. He was also a lot of fun to chat with about politics, culture and other aspects of Israel and his travels. He didn’t waste our time with any kickback / tourist traps which was awesome. I wish we had booked him for more days.”
“Samuel brought the history and complexity of the Holy Land to life! Though I have been twice before, Samuel added a new dimension to my experience. He is full of knowledge, jokes, tips and tricks, and even has great food recommendations. My parents and I were very comfortable and felt that Samuel personalized the tour just for us. From his first email response about my initial inquiry, to his parting words, Samuel was courteous, prompt, clear, and flexible to our needs. Thank you, Samuel, for giving us the best experience we could imagine!”
“The best way to discover Israel in a short period of time”
“I have used Samuel’s services in the past and now coming back to Israel with my wife and in-laws (newbies to Israel) I turned to him again to create the optimal itinerary for Tel Aviv and Jaffa. It was again an amazing experience. Samuel’s in depth knowledge of the city, country and culture combined with his great way of communication/delivering the message made us discover the city and the lovely country in a completely new and different way - opening up to experiences we wouldn’t have had without his thorough local knowledge. He made history (both ancient and recent) come to life through wonderful stories, which we all still vividly remember. The visit to Carmel market, discovering all the flavors of Israel (from Yemenite cuisine, to the best Sabich, to old Druze cuisine, we had it all) is something we will also not easily forget. Samuel was very helpful in the preparation for our trip and catered the tour fully to our interests and needs (the amazing food being one of mine ;) ). In short, Samuel’s is a guide I can warmly recommend especially in case you want to discover as much as possible of Israel/Tel Aviv in a short period of time. My wife and in-laws are now big Israel fans and we already talk about our next trip. We will definitely use Samuel’s services again when we return to Israel.”
“Samuel is prepared, organized, knowledgeable, professional, timely, and personable. I call this type of person a "pro" and that is why I would highly recommend him for any tour in Israel. I traveled with my teenage daughter to see Christian and other important historical sites. Samuel’s impressive educational background, his perfect English (he is from the U.K.) and his willingness to advise us on where to go and what to see all gave me great comfort that he would be the perfect guide for us, and he was. We used him in both Jerusalem and Galilee, and he was able to cover any topic that we wanted to learn about ranging from history to politics to religion. And if you follow My Israeli Guide on Instagram you will quickly realize that Samuel is also fond of good food and can advise on all aspects of the Israeli experience (he even recommended a very good driver). Thank you for the great service Samuel!”
“My family and I have travelled extensively around the world, and I am pleased to say thst Samuel was everything one could possibly hope for in a tour guide. We toured with him in Jerusalem’s Old City, and found him to be not merely informative and insightful, but highly attentive to each family member’s interests. He is a consummate professional and a lovely guy. We recommend him highly!”
“Samuel took our families on guided tours throughout Israel. He is extremely knowledgeable and great with kids. Each trip was carefully planned and went very smoothly. He motivated the kids and explained the significance of the place on their level while expertly answering all of the adults’ questions. His pleasant nature set the tone for the trip. We would definitely recommend Samuel and hope to have him guide our future trips.”
“Formidable expertise; Friendly and patient as they get”
“Samuel was the most ideal Jerusalem tour guide we could have ever hoped for. My partner and oldest son and I went on this journey throughout the Old City section of Jerusalem, which was very well informed ahead of time via a thoughtful Skype video chat and much exchanged correspondence and Google Doc of 'want to see’ sites. Samuel was on time and on point in the morning and wasted no time yet kept us from feeling rushed in any way. His expertise, comfort, and social intelligence exuded were all 10 out of 10. It was like a class in Jerusalem history through architecture and archaeology, catered to a ten-year-old and two forty-year olds at a level and dynamic that engaged us all equally, with several bits of seriousness peppered with intelligent humor. Samuel’s familiarity with the local communities (of all religious sects), market, food, transportation, and political and security scenes really impressed us and made us feel safe and taken care of. He was as attentive as we could’ve ever guessed a one-day tour guide could be. Tour guides just don’t get any better than this, friends. Be prepared to be wowed, challenged, pampered, and put at ease for all your time spent with this amazing and wonderful man. :)”
“Phenomenal guide in a beautuifly city rich in history!”
“As others have commented, Samuel has a unique way of bringing history to life through storytelling. He was our first guide on our Israel/West Bank/Jordan trip and he was hard for others to live up to. We were a challenging group of 6, ranging in age from 19 to 83, including Jews, Christians and atheists, historians, doctors, a lawyer and students, with lots of questions and challenges to the traditional Israeli perspective of the current political situation. Samuel dealt with all of it with humility, laughter, scholarship and accommodation. He found lovely places to sit for the elders in the group, while he shared his gripping tales. He researched issues we brought up during the tour after it was over and emailed us follow-up information. He kept six people so engrossed that when it began to get dark, none of us could believe even half our our day was done. Do not hesitate. He will be booked. Book early and often. A perfect day.”
“Had a fabulous tour with Samuel on our latest visit to Israel. He is a veritable mine of information on Israeli history and geography, and was happy to answer questions and adjust the tour as appropriate to meet the needs of younger members. He is helpful and approachable. We had some inclement weather during our tour, but this did not hamper our enjoyment of the trip. We would definitely tour with Samuel again and recommend him.”
“Samuel was a terrific guide. His knowledge, patience, insight and sense of humor added greatly to our time in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. His ability to engage young kids, adults and grandparents is remarkable.”
“Samuel was our guide for a tour comprising three generations of our family as well as others. He presented the country to us with great knowledge, warmth and humor. Everyone felt a connection to him and gained a sense of the history of the country as well as what it was like to live and work in Israel. His English accent and love of Israeli music was a plus as well. We would travel with him as a guide on our next trip without hesitation. Mark M.”
“Returning to Israel after 30+ years, my wife, sister-in-law and I recently spent 5 days touring around Jerusalem, the Galilee/Golan, and Jaffa with Samuel, and we could not have been happier with our trip! From our initial request for information, until the very last moment when he dropped us off at the end of our time together, Samuel was a true professional in every sense of the word. He was extremely knowledgeable about Israel’s history and culture, made great suggestions about places to see and things to do, and had wonderful restaurant recommendations (he even made us dinner reservations for nights we were on our own to make things easier for us). Samuel was extremely organized, planned ahead, and most importantly, was a great (and fun!) leader for our little group. Even though the 3 of us had varied interests and personalities, Samuel was a very astute observer/listener, being flexible and cleverly tailoring parts of each day to ensure all of us were engaged and having fun. Choosing Samuel as our guide made our visit back to Israel an amazing experience that we will all cherish for many years to come. We highly recommend Samuel and can’t thank him enough!”
“I went on two tours led by Samuel Green over the Passover holidays. They were both extremely well organised. We visited the Hula Valley nature reserve and also the Golan Heights. Samuel is an excellent guide, and has a wealth of knowledge about the area, and is particularly expert on the history. He speaks with great wit and humour, making the whole tour fun as well as educational. I would definitely choose Samuel as a guide next time I’m in Israel.”
“We did 2 half-day trips with Samuel over Pesach chag. One to the Hula Valley and then to a chocolate factory and winery. Unfortunately the weather was unseasonal but our guide was informative and knowledgeable and presented information clearly and concisely with a great sense of humour. Highly recommend. The Hula Valley was wonderful, even in the bad weather - we will return hopefully when the birds are migrating. The chocolate factory was a great experience and included making our own chocolate - our 4 year old had a great time! The winery included wine-tasting (not for the 4 year old!).”
“Historical and Current view of Israel from Jerusalem, traveling North and then Tel Aviv”
“Samuel Green provided so much information regarding Israeli history, stories, biblical passages and linkages to archeology. Our small group of four thoroughly enjoyed our trip and can attribute that to Samuel and his knowledge and engaging personality. Highly recommend!”
“I was overwhelmed at the first thought of traveling to Israel until we were introduced to Samuel. He spent time before the trip to get to know our family and our unique interests. We were a party of 5 from different backgrounds and interest. He crafted tours that touched us all in faith, incredible history and deep culture, unlike we could have ever imagined! He was professional and so much fun too! We will forever be grateful for the amazing memories he created for our family. BEST TRIP EVER!”
“Ten Day Tour of Israel -- Samuel is Intelligent, Fun and Resourceful”
“My husband and I were planning a tour with our four adult children for my husband’s 65th birthday. We contacted Samuel and as one of my kids said "getting Samuel was a key to our whole trip’s success." We toured Jerusalem, Massada and the desert area, the Golan Heights and Galilee, ending in Tel Aviv. His tours had themes to help us remember what we were seeing, he had expansive knowledge to answer questions, and he adapted to all our interests. I knew his humor and lightness would suit the entire age range, and I was confident all would work out when he asked to have a phone conversation with us about what we wanted before we comitted to hiring him. And here’s the thing--we are a hard bunch to please. We travel a lot, and are rather demanding. Specifically, my husband has Jewish heritage, but no knowledge or background in Judaism. I am a chaplain in a progressive church. Our kids are well-educated, and very diverse--one Greek and Roman major in college, one high school science teacher, one public defender interested in the Palestinian issue. We have LGBT issues, and some health issues that we were worried about. They are very interested in food and cooking, but can tire of one more church or ruin, even if I love old sites. Samuel found cooking demonstrations with Palestinian cooks, winerys with tastings near important sites, and cut down some of the minor stops so that we could learn, see and get to know Israel, without feeling like herded sheep. My daughter, the teacher, especially liked his summaries each day of the theme of the day tying together what we saw. It was very important to them that he could talk to them about the political issues of the day in an open way, and allow for the very different levels of religious attachment to the sites in Jerusalem, from reverance to detached interest. Samuel also found an interesting guide to Bethlehem and Jericho who was Palestinian, so we had a different viewpoint from him. Thanks for a great trip, Samuel!”
“Visit of Old City of Jerusalem and Holocoust Museum”
“Samuel guided us through the Old City of Jerusalem - it was fascinating. We learned about the history of Israel and Jerusalem, visited the Western Wall and the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Afterwards, we visited Yad Vashem, the Holocaust Memorial Center. The entire tour lasted more than 4 hours and Samuel was an excellent tour guide. He brought Israel’s history to life - I would recommend him to anyone without hesitation as he is very knowledgeable and engaging - one of the best tours I’ve ever had.”
“A wonderful guide -- smart, creative and engaging”
“Samuel was amazing! I was in Tel Aviv with family (aged late 50s – early 90s) when our plans changed unexpectedly and we found ourselves with an extra day. A good friend in San Diego recommended Samuel and I called him on the spot. Since our group had been to Israel several times, we challenged him to come up with some off-the-beaten-track ideas in which all members of our group could partake. A tall order on very short notice. Samuel delivered – big time! Our day included a culinary tour of a food market where we sampled the staples of various immigrant populations to a walking tour of the City’s oldest neighborhoods. Samuel quickly understood what our group wanted and crafted the perfect day. We have already recommended him to friends and look forward to touring with him again.”
“Samuel was our tour guide during a recent 10 day family trip to Israel. There were three generations in our group and Samuel was able to engage each and every member of our family. He is smart, thoughtful and passionate about his work. In a short period of time, Samuel was able to show us much of what Israel is about. He provided a window into Israel’s history, people and culture. Samuel also understood that this was a vacation for us and made it fun. He was able to tailor his approach to meet our group’s needs. Samuel really made our trip special and I look forward to returning to Israel soon and connecting with Samuel again. Michael S.”
“Samuel was our guide on a family tour of Israel. He is knowledgeable and engaging. The group ranged in age and Samuel tailored the tour to meet everyone’s needs. He spent more than a week with our family and kept everyone interested. Samuel helped make our trip wonderful. I highly recommend him if you are looking for a tour guide in Israel.”
“Samuel was our guide for nine days. We planned the whole trip with him. He is very knowledgeable, patient, kind, respectful, interesting, easy to understand, reliable, punctual, practical and resourceful. Samuel can help you with all aspects of your trip. You would be lucky to have him as your guide. He appeals to all ages, including teens. Do yourself a favour and book with Samuel as your guide.”
“My 14 year old son Samuel and I visited Israel for a week in October 2018. We spent a full day with Samuel, walking through Jerusalem, visiting the usual sights, but Samuel had prepared well for my son’s special interest in the crusader time. We went off the normal tracks often to find pieces related to that era specifically. His knowledge was amazing, we were often mesmerised by the way the stories were told and his focus on 'fact or faith’ was more then refreshing. At the end he summarised the tour, something so simple yet so effective, to make sure the day was closed off properly. What a true professional. I hope to spend more time with Samuel in the future and would wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone interested in a guide who is openminded, challenging yet factual about the sights. Thank you Samuel !”
“We (my sister, brother-in-law and their baby) took a full day tour with Samuel in Ramle and Lod in November 2017. What stands out about Samuel as a tour guide is not his great sense of humor, his depth of knowledge, nor his ability to tailor a tour to a group (however eclectic); rather, it is his ability to bring people to off-the-beaten path locations that they would never be able to find on their own. In this age of omnipresent internet and online travel guides, it is tempting to try to do it on your own, do a little research, and read wikipedia entries for wherever you find yourself. Samuel planned a tour for us in Ramle and Lod that we never would have been able to plan for ourselves. He negotiated entry to a Mosque which we never would have been able to get into. He brought us to a Titian panting in a church that I didn’t even know existed. He filled our day with off-the-beaten track surprises, including local food, which we never would have found on our own. This is actually the second tour we have done with Samuel and the first was exactly the same - he took us to a tiny hole-in-the-wall pastry shop in the old city where I tried a local pastry that I had never tried before. In short, Samuel is an excellent, knowledgeable, funny tour guide, and the extra off-the-beaten path surprises are the cherry on top.”
“A truly excellent guide, don’t hesitate, just book him!”
“Samuel was our guide for a day long tour of the Old City of Jerusalem. He spoke to us at length before hand to understand what our objectives for the tour were and more than delivered on our requests. He was knowledgeable, clear, funny and honest. We were walking all day except for a short stop for (a delicious and authentic, local) lunch and he was able to keep us interested throughout. The fact that he could keep my 11 and 13 year olds engaged right till the very end and satisfy the curiosity of my history buff husband is testament to his skill as a guide and storyteller. After a week in Israel, both my children said that the tour in Jerusalem with Samuel was the highlight of our holiday. I think that says it all.”
“Awesome, really fun and all the right activities for our needs!”
“We had a great time in the Golan with Samuel. We did so much in just a short space of time too thanks to Samuel’s great recommendations and knowledge of the area. The Kangeroo park, milking cows, building snowmen on Mt.Hermon, incredible viewpoints in Lebanon and Syria from Mt.Bental, waterfalls, Druze villages and a great hotel recommendation/stay too!”
“I thoroughly enjoyed my trip to Tzippori with Samuel who made it an interesting, fun and engaging experience. During the trip he conveyed a great deal of information while still making the trip a fun and enjoyable experience intertwined with the many layers of history that make Tzippori the fascinating place it is. Throughout the tour Samuel offers a passionate yet balanced and nuanced perspective of historical occurrences and I would strongly recommend taking a tour with Samual to anyone interested in getting a deeper understanding of this deeply layered and complex country.”
Caylee, Tel Aviv
“I can’t thank you enough for making our experience out in Israel so unforgettable. You really are an amazing guide... I don’t think I’ve ever walked away from a travel experience feeling as much in touch with the culture and history as I did flying back from your home. I’ll always be indebted to you for the trip.”
Casey, USA
“Samuel was a pleasure to tour with. He asked in advance what our group was looking to see and to learn and planned the trip completely around us. He did incredibly-we could not have planned a better day. Samuel knew a great deal about each place which either he or we chose to see and at each one added an exciting side story or piece of information. Samuel also took us to gems we could never have found on our own-secret pastry shops, an unknown synagogue and more. He was funny, thoughtful and completely in tune with our group. I will hire Samuel next time I’m in Israel and will recommend him to family and friends”
Miriam Fischer, USA
“Samuel took a small group of my family and friends on a day trip to Jerusalem. He quickly understood the needs and interests of our varied group and delivered an entertaining and educational day. He created a plan and was well prepared yet remained flexible as the day progressed. Somehow he managed to take us to three (in one meal!) local hole-in-the-wall style eating establishments and introduced us to new tastes and characters that we never would have been able to find on our own. His British humor, dry wit, and positive energy kept us entertained throughout the whole day. I would highly recommend Samuel for any group - large or small, knowledgeable or newbies.”
Teddy Fischer, Tel Aviv
“Samuel has been a wonderful guide for exploring the fascinating country of Israel. Through Sam I have been able to explore the diversity of this country to the fullest. From finding the best hummus places in town to discovering an ancient crussader castle, from getting to know the friendly inhabitants of Israel to an introduction to the ecclectic Mizrachi folk music, Samuel made this possible through his vast knowledge of country, language and culture. In short I warmly recommend using his services in case you want to discover this fascinating country.”
Jeroen Terpstra, the Netherlands
“Planning a week-long for guests of a destination wedding from America with participants varying between ten to fifty each day (ranging from seasoned Israeli travellers, first-timers, Jews and Christians, all with different requests and expectations of their tours)—should be nearly impossible. There is only one tour-guide with the skill, knowledge, and most importantly the patience to create and execute on an itinerary for truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience and his name is Samuel Green. I cannot stress enough that Samuel is one of the most interesting, unbelievably smart, caring, and knowledgeable professional guides I and others in our group ever encountered. Sam quickly adjusted to the varying interests, questions, and demands of almost fifty people. Each day Samuel spent the entire time with the group. He was respectful if people wanted to speak or be left alone to explore themselves. Samuel helped us pick places to eat, that would accommodate the varying sizes of our groups, and give us a taste of the local cuisine and culture. During the tours, Samuel made personal connections with each of us. When we look back at our wedding week, Samuel’s tour was an integral part of the most special times in our lives. There is simply no one else to consider if you want a first-class, educational, memorable, and moving Israeli experience.”
