“Presents multiple perspectives on complicated topics.”
“My Graduate program toured Israel with Sam and he was incredible. His knowledge base is wide and his humor is on point. Sam truly knows how to present and discuss multiple perspectives on complicated topics, delve into history’s lesser known facts, and keep groups engaged for days on end. Thank you, Sam! My tour was amazing!”
“It was a great pleasure and honor to have Samuel return for the fifth year to guide our annual policy trek, a delegation of 50 graduate students from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, throughout Israel. As one of the trek leaders, Sam did an excellent job at studying our itinerary and carefully weaving stories, multiple narratives and, when applicable, anecdotes into every stop on our tour. It is clear that Sam takes great pains to give a balanced and even-handed account of highly complex and contested sites in Israel. Sam certainly knows how to work a crowd to maintain good morale and vibes on long tour dates, often providing some comic relief with his corny "Dad" jokes and sharing some of his favorite Israeli songs accompanied by group dances on a charter bus. Sam made our trek experience deeply informative and memorable. This experience will undoubtedly remain with me and my colleagues for years to come.”
“Kept students engaged – from history to politics and business.”
“Samuel was not only a knowledgeable tour guide, he has a great sense of humor and kept students engaged and interested in everything from ancient to modern history, politics, religion, economics, and business – just what you would hope in a first class Israeli tour guide. I recommend him without hesitation!”

“Expert and personable at once.”
“When working with Samuel on the trip’s agenda, I was impressed by his dedication to tailor a trip that will meet our group’s unique characteristics. Samuel delivered the content in the most interesting, interactive and unique way, keeping our attendees present and attentive to his explanations. The history of Israel can be long, confusing and hard to relate to, especially when many of the participants have never heard about these stories prior to the trip. Samuel’s unique guiding style led our group to be constantly engaged with the material and remember the stories long after we left the country. Samuel is very good at walking the line between being an expert on a subject matter and being friendly and personal. In between giving commentary on the landscape seen from the bus, preparing for the next landmark on the agenda and ensuring we have lunch waiting for us when we get off the bus, Samuel made sure to connect with our attendees on a personal level. By the end of the trip, all our attendees felt like Samuel was “one of the crew” and expressed hope to meet again in the future. Samuel is a very personable man. Friendly and professional, he has good interpersonal skills that lead him to work well with the partners and suppliers throughout the trip. Building rapport while expecting high output, Samuel led our group to have a great experience with the bus driver, hotel staff and restaurants management throughout the trip. In closing, the experience with Samuel during our trip surpassed all my expectations. Samuel’s unique personality, quality of delivery and willingness to “jump in” to our group’s culture made our trip unforgettable. I believe he would be a tremendous asset to any group visiting Israel.”

“The best guide they’d ever had, and I’m booking next year.”
“Even though it’s been almost a month since we finished the Wharton Israel Trek, I keep on getting emails and calls from the trekkers about the wonderful time they had on the trek. I know I thanked you several times now, but now that the survey results are in, it seems that a large part of the reason these people are thanking me is you :) People have told us that you were the best tour guide they ever had; the biggest compliment came from one of the participants, when she told me that she’s planning to send her parents to Israel, and to make sure you show them around. You were great, and I’m already booking you for next year’s trek :)”

“Outstanding group trip”
“Samuel is the most articulate, informed, professional tour guide I’ve ever encountered. Our group of 50 or so international-relations graduate students was with him for a week in March 2015, touring sites of religious, historical, and political significance all over Israel. His knowledge extends far beyond the typical tourist-oriented subjects, and he has a keen grasp of the current political and social currents in Israel and the history that led to their development. Informative, entertaining, and eminently prepared, Samuel will make your trip to Israel an unforgettable one!”
“I visited Israel for the first time this March with a small group of 9 people while on spring break from our MBA program at Berkeley. We were blown away by what we experienced of the country with Sam. We spent 3 nights and 4 days traversing Israel, exploring Jerusalem, the Dead Sea, various points of interest along Galilee, Golan Heights, and Bethlehem. We had an incredibly diverse group with more than half of us coming from different international backgrounds, and Sam catered to all of our interests just so well. Because there were a few Catholics in the group, Sam made sure to highlight sites of importance to us through our travels - all the while with a sense of humor and so much warmth. One of my favorite memories of Sam is of him taking us to Masada and using some acting to bring the stories behind the last Jewish stronghold to life. I left Israel blown away by my experience, fully intending to come back with family on another tour with Sam. I cannot recommend Sam enough - he opened all of our eyes to Israel in a way that I don’t think would have been possible with another tour guide. Thank you, Sam!”
“Bringing in a world-renowned professor for a talk in Israel, I was tasked with finding a tour guide that would provide a tour whose quality was commensurate with the professor’s incredible breadth of knowledge and understanding. Samuel came highly recommended, and my guest was incredibly impressed with the tour! (to my chagrin, he may have enjoyed the tour more than the event that I invited him for) Samuel picked up my guest from the hotel in Herzliya and drove with him down to Jerusalem. My understanding is that this is part of Samuel’s professional guidance. As you travel to you destination, Samuel provides all the relevant background information so that, while touring, you can focus on the touring and better appreciate the sites. In this case, the sites included: Temple Mount the Western Wall and the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Overall an excellent experience.”
“Samuel was our group’s guide (35 graduate students) throughout a two week tour of Jordan and Israel. Thanks to his hard work and attention to detail, he made our full itinerary run smoothly and seamlessly. As the group leader, I am so grateful for everything that Samuel did to make the trip such a great success. His in-depth knowledge of the area covered everything from history to politics to pop culture. He was willing to tackle any topic in which the group was interested, and did it in a very fun and informative way. He has a calming demeanor and a great sense of humor, and it was truly a pleasure to work with him. His engaging manner endeared him to our group and we were sad to say farewell to him at the end of our amazing two weeks. I can’t say enough great things about Samuel, and would recommend him to anyone going to Israel.”
“Samuel guided nearly 100 MBAs this summer on my trip in May 2016. His ability to manage different personalities and interests throughout the entire trip is a testament to his professionalism and adaptability. Whether your interest is ancient Jewish history or the modern socio-political situation of the Middle East, Samuel’s knowledge allowed him to educate and entertain deeply. My favorite memories from our tour are his stories: from Masada to the Syrian border to Jaffa, Samuel’s storytelling engages listeners and reveals different facets of Israeli culture. I also appreciated his ability to be self-critical and present an objective perspective to events and attitudes in a high-tension environment. I would seek his services if you: -want a fantastic, professional tour of Israel -want to enjoy your vacation -are excited about meeting great people I would not seek his services if you: -don’t enjoy life -don’t like learning -are looking for a crappy vacation Samuel also has an incredible secret skill you should ask him about when you meet him.”
“Having Samuel as our trip’s guide in Israel was one of the best aspects of the trip. He is a great well of information about Israeli history, music, culture, and anything else you can think of. He was also really engaging for the entire week and kept our groups attention the entire time. Before we came, he researched the kind of topics our group (an IR grad school contingent) would be interested in so he was prepared for all the questions we asked. Also, (as we were studying conflict resolution) I found he gave us a very unbiased perspective of the current happenings in Israel which I really appreciated.”
“Samuel is an amazing tour guide! He was our (a group of 40 students) tour guide for a week as we travelled all over Israel. Each day he had a different theme of things we were going to see/learn about, which really helped with processing everything we saw. He introduced us to Israel culture and is very knowledgable about all the sites we visited as well as the history of Israel. He answered all our questions, including silly ones that were just for a laugh. He also made sure to get to know every single person on the trip. It was an incredible experience, made even better by having an amazing guide!”
“Samuel Green blended humor, history, and masterful storytelling to craft an unforgettable Israel tour for my graduate school group. He based each day on a certain "theme;" we began our trip in Jerusalem, where Sam discussed the various definitions of holiness; then to Yad Vashem and Masada to ponder Israel’s historical narrative; then to the Golan Heights to talk about armed conflict between Israel and its neighbors; and finally to Dead Sea and Tel Aviv to experience Israel’s beautiful landscape and rich nightlife. All the while, Sam answered questions in a concise, comprehensive manner. He is truly blessed with the talent of public speaking and a sharp wit; he had us laughing every day, and he played us a "song of the day" to hear what Israelis were listening to. I literally felt like I was engaged in an active novel during Sam’s tours, because he is really able to bring Israel’s history to life around you.”
“I’ve been to Israel 5 times now, and Samuel is undoubtedly one of the best guides I have ever had! He is incredibly knowledgeable, funny, well organized, and amazing at what he does. As a trip leader for 42 students, I can vouch for his thoroughness and dedication to my group. It was a pleasure to work with him.”
“As trip leaders, Samuel made our experience incredibly easy. He was on top of all of the details, had excellent recommendations for how to best spend our time and engage our group, and did an amazing job of connecting with each of our trip participants and tailoring his stories and the entire experience to fit our group and their interests. In addition to the "normal," everyday tour guide duties, Samuel went above and beyond to help us setup amazing company visits to truly experience the startup nation after our original plans fell through at the last minute. While the duties of leading the trek could have been cumbersome and exhausting, Samuel did everything possible to ensure that we got to enjoy the trip too.”
“Samuel was our tour guide for my school’s MBA spring break trek to Israel. I was looking forward to visiting Israel but I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. Samuel was incredibly knowledgeable about the history of Israel and the past and present cultures that have made their home there. He was patient and thorough answering all kinds of questions from the mundane to the politically charged. He also managed to remain (in my view) incredibly neutral in all of his explanations. Israel is a complicated place and there are many different points of view and opinions on what has happened and what should happen. Samuel always addressed all sides and he presented a nuanced multi-cultural view of Israel. Samuel is also a friendly, funny, easy-going guy and would be great for trips of all sizes.”
“My wife and I came to Israel through my Business School’s MBA Trek, which was organized via My Israel Guide. The entire trip was outstanding in every regard--from hotel stay to eating, experiencing the culture to religion, and contemporary Israel to ancient country. It was truly a very humbling and wholesome experience on all levels (spiritually, mentally, emotionally, and socially). I without a doubt believe the trip was made safe and great through My Israel Guide, and our wonderful tour guide (Samuel Green--he was excellent!). It was very fun, very educational, and very open minded. The 10 day trip will truly be one of my most memorable trips ever. It would be foolish to experience Israel for what it is without this guide.”
“I helped lead a large group of 80 students to Israel last year. The task was imposing, but thankfully we had Sam as one of our guides. The bus that toured with Sam has nothing but good things to say about him - he is informative, humorous, kind, and caring. Our group will be using him every year for years to come as long as Sam is in the business!”
“Sam is BY FAR the best tour guide I’ve ever had. Hands down. I went on a group trip to Israel with 35 Wharton students, and was SO fortunate to have him as our guide. I learned more about the geography, history and conflicts in Israel within the first 15 minutes of Sam’s first lecture than I had in the entire quarter we spent studying the country leading up to the trip. He was impressively objective in his presentation of Israel’s history, society and politics. Our group literally couldn’t stump him with any questions - he knew his facts inside and out. I wish he could cover more countries - I’d travel with him everywhere.”
“Sam was our tour guide in Israel, as well as a tour coordinator in Jordan and Turkey, as part of a 2 week MBA course to the Middle East. As the faculty on the trip, I found him a pleasure to work with. He has outstanding communication skills and a calm, positive attitude that helped run the program smoothly. We were a group of 30 and he managed to relate to each one of us, answering questions, helping with logistics and being a go-to problem solver. He was also and exceptional guide of the religious sites and tourism attractions. I was especially impressed with his sensitivity to the students of various religions (Christian, Muslim, Jewish, atheists) during our tour of Jerusalem and then during a day in the Galilee. Sam was also up for sharing tips on restaurants and clubs and even bar hopped with the students in Tel Aviv while I, thankfully, slept in the hotel. Overall, he is a great person to have on your team if you are introducing a group to the region.”
“Last summer I led a group of 74 MBA students from the US to a trip in Israel, and Samuel was our guide. Sam was amazing! Same made our entire trip. He was charming, funny, full of knowledge, responsible and resourceful - Everything you’d want from a guide. In addition, I personally am not a fan of organized trips. Sam was able to make the students get enough freedom so they did not feel like they were tied up to too many constraints. In a few weeks, several friends of mine are coming to Israel from the US, and I didn’t even think about it - Sam will guide us through our travels in Israel.”
“Samuel did a tremendous job conducting a terrific 7 day guided tour of Israel for our business school trip in June 2015. Samuel was extremely knowledgeable about all facets of Biblical history and Israeli modern life. He was able to answer all of our questions, and in dealing with modern, controversial topics, did so in a way that presented both sides objectively that led to more enriching questions and conversations. Further, Samuel displayed his ability to corral a large (often party-inclined) crowd by injecting the right balance of commentary and detail, as well as introducing other topics, such as an "Ask Me Anything" question book and by highlighting modern Israeli songs and music. He was able to direct ~50 of us on guided walking tours, not a small feat when in small, crowded areas. If I returned to Israel again, I would again love for Samuel to be our guide. I would highly recommend him for any group, small or large, looking for a highly knowledgeable, pleasant and fun guide of Israel.”
“Samuel is really great at what he does. He guided our school group on a week-long tour, and was fantastic. He is knowledgeable, open, and has a great sense of humor that keeps things interesting. I would highly recommend him if you’re looking for a tour of any part of Israel - we did Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, Jaffa, and more.”
“I recently visited Israel with other law students as part of a 10-day vacation. Our tour guide, Samuel did an exceptional job of answering our many questions and providing wonderful food recommendations. Samuel was with us during the entire vacation and our group was blessed to have such a charismatic, intelligent, and overall, awesome person as our guide. Samuel not only is an expert on all things Israel, but his explanations are crafted in such a way that you are transported to ancient times. It was a beautiful and unforgettable experience to have tangible history right before you eyes, coupled with a great guide that explains history in an intriguing and fun way. More than a dates and facts, Samuel told a story that I will cherish for the rest of my life.”
“Samuel did a truly amazing job with our group. He was a hit with all 41 of our students. Not only does he know his facts, but he is willing to connect with students on a personal level. He let us get to know him personally and made a bond with our students. I highly recommend him for anyone who is looking for a thoughtful, excellent guide in Israel. He made our trip to Israel more enjoyable!”
“Sam, you were great. You dealt with our ridiculous and silly questions and were very knowledgeable about the culture, and cities we visited together. Thank you again. Boker tov to Igor!”
“Sam is an awesome guide. We spent a week touring Israel with him as part as a iTrek from a grad school. We can be a tough crowd but he was knowledgable, thoughtful and smart, providing fun facts, as well as in-depth knowledge of the history, politics and culture. A truly wonderful experience”
“I spent a week with Samuel as part of an iTrek with my graduate school. From beginning to end, it was an unbelievably fun and moving experience. I truly can’t imagine a better guide.”
“I took at trip to around Israel with Samuel as part of a group from my University. He is fantastic, knowledgeable, and personable. Very open to all sorts to questions. I wouldn’t have been able learn close to what I did on my trip without his guidance. Highly, highly recommended.”
“I have had the opportunity to travel to Israel twice, and on both occasions, I had the true joy of being able to explore the country with Samuel. He is an extraordinarily dedicated guide and he did an excellent job connecting with all the students in our group of 41. Not only did Samuel’s expertise and wit provide us with an amazing experience, but he inspired us by sharing his own passion and love for what he does. It is largely because of Samuel that I desired to return to Israel the second time (and hopefully many more times to come). After each of my trips, Samuel made himself available to everyone and still answers any questions that I have whenever I message him. I am happy to know that I not only got to see a wonderful country alongside an amazing guide, but I also made a new friend.”
“I organized two graduate school trips for Johns Hopkins SAIS to spend a week in Israel. We were extremely fortunate to have Samuel for both years. He was knowledgeable about everywhere we went and very receptive to any changes we wanted to make. He went above and beyond in his effort to get to know every student on the trip, learning all of our names (btw there were 52 students on each trip!). I would highly recommend Samuel for any trip.”
“I traveled to Israel with my college to learn about the historical and biblical significance of the Holy Land as well as its contemporary political and sociological challenges. Samuel offered his thorough knowledge and well-developed perspective on these controversial subjects with cogency, honesty, and humility. His intellectual acuity was surpassed only by his impeccable sense of humor and inimitable personality. You will not find another tour guide who composes limericks about biblical history and tour-sites for his group, teaches them Israeli folk dancing, or who creates mixtape CDs for every member of his tour group. Samuel is the type of person that you would love to know even if he weren’t a tour guide. But he is! So, if you go on a tour with him, prepare for a deeply enriching, life-changing experience.”
“Samuel is an excellent tour guide. The Johns Hopkins SAIS group (about 52 total) had a great time. He is great at catching the overall personality and feel of a group and tailoring the experiences to their desires and needs. He is very knowledgeable about the sites and current events in the country and does a good job presenting facts and narratives in a way that allows participants to make their own conclusions. His pleasant and funny personality creates an atmosphere that puts people at ease. I highly recommend this guide for any kind of group experience.”
“We visited Jerusalem, Ramallah, Dead Sea, Golan Heights, Tel Aviv which were very intensely guided tours that gave me a good lens to view Israel for all it is. It was very helpful to have Sam give his insights regarding the various issues and histories that are attached to the various places we visited. Sam is certainly a very caring, knowledgeable and invested guide, who ensures that everyone is comfortable and learns while having a good time. I don’t think that my trip would’ve been half as informative and enjoyable had Sam not been there guiding us through.”
“Samuel led our delegation of 50 graduate students across Israel with grace, humor, and energy! He is able to discuss complex and contested histories and dialogues with balance and insight - and when appropriate humor! I highly recommend Samuel as a tour guide if you’re looking to laugh, learn, and eat great food!”
“Sam was a knowledgeable, funny, personable, and committed guide for our group of graduate students- and I am very thankful he was with us throughout the trip. During our time there, he was patient in answering any questions that we had about Israel and respected the various thoughts we shared while learning about the places we visited and people we met. I would like to highly recommend Sam for both private and large group tours as he seems to be able to maintain a wide range of people.”
“Unforgettable and enlightening trip around Israel!”
“Samuel exceeded all expectations as a tour guide and somehow managed to juggle explaining complicated history and shepherding 50 exhausted students. This was my first time visiting Israel and I am confident that Samuel gave us a comprehensive and unbiased overview of the various topics that our tour covered. We traveled across Israel in a matter of a few days and Samuel expertly navigated us through the trip with light humor, grace, and an open mind. Would recommend him to any newcomers, regulars, or just plain old curious people.”
“Samuel did a fantastic job as the guide for our graduate program’s trip to Israel. He is extremely knowledgeable about the history and politics and culture of the region, and did a fabulous job leading a group of students asking very challenging questions! Samuel did a great job balancing humor and serious discussion. Can’t recommend him enough as a guide.”
“Samuel was an incredible guide who made my trip to Israel one of the best ever. He is not only a wealth of knowledge but an incredibly good storyteller that kept our group of 50 students listening the entire time. I would very much recommend!”
“Experiencing Israel for the first, second, tenth time is an amazing experience. Experiencing Israel with Samuel as your tour guide is a treasured and memorable experience. Samuel is a practicing Orthodox Jew who invites people to experience the culture of Israel––both modern and ancient. I traveled in Israel for 10 days with my college to explore the Biblical significance of the Holy Land in addition to learning about the modern state of Israel and the contemporary political challenges it faces. Samuel has a broad swath of knowledge in the history of the Bible and the significance of holy sites, the establishment of the modern state of Israel, and the current circumstances of the Israeli/Palestinian Conflict. Samuel pushed our group in an encouraging way to keep our energy up so we could visit as many sites as possible (including special sites like an olive oil factory and a dates factory). He lovingly included us in his observance of Shabbat in a special way and introduced us to Israeli music by unveiling a daily Song of the Day on the tour bus. He patiently, respectfully, and intelligently answered our questions that we wrote in the Question Book and entertained us with his Biblical limericks. To top it off, he gifted us with his own personal CD on the last day of the trip (yes, he is an Israeli DJ with a British accent and he’s the coolest). With Samuel, you’ll not only get an informative and memorable Israel tour experience but you’ll also walk away with a new friend.”
“I traveled to Israel with an EMBA program from Philadelphia. The group was large, traveling with 30 people. Sam greeted us bright and early Sunday morning to start our week. His fabulous professionalism tied with his witty, dry sense of humor made every moment of the week, both big and small, absolutely unforgettable. Sam graciously went above and beyond, learning who each of us were prior to arriving and understand everyone’s individual needs. Sam traveled with us daily to locations near and (hours away) far from Tel Aviv, including Nazareth and Jerusalem. He always knew great people and could point us to great food during breaks. Even now after the trip Sam stays connected and shares photos and funny little jokes. A great person. A great guide. And, forever, a great memorable experience. Sam Green!”
“Israel receives millions of visitors per year and tour guides go through intensive training in order to deliver a quality experience. While certainly there are many great options out there, I highly recommend Samuel as a first choice. I have attended 2 university-based based programs with Samuel as the leader. His deep knowledge and passion for the country combined with a great sense of humor, along with constant attention to the needs of the group is a perfect combination.”
“We had Sam during our grad school Israel trek. He was with our 50-person bus for a week. Samuel is incredibly knowledgable and kind. I learned so much about history, religion, culture and politics of Israel from him during the trip. He made efforts to get to know each of us and he remembered our names and background. Besides his knowledge and kindness, his sense of humor also made our trip more enjoyable. I would recommend Sam to anyone who is considering finding a tour guide in Israel.”
“Insightful, funny, witty, balanced - Sam is a great (guy)de!!”
“I apologize for the bad pun. Sam was our guide during a week-long school trip in Israel, from Jerusalem to the Dead Sea, Golan Heights, Tel Aviv, and various other spots during the week. Not only did he offers us a great historical overview of every site we visited, he would always supplement it with some personal insight and draw out questions from participants regarding whatever issue this place was relating to. Participants also appreciated his efforts to relate to people on a more personal level and to plan the trip according to the group’s interests. I can recommend Sam to whoever wants to visit Israel and is looking for more than just the usual travel experience!”
“Amazing guide! Ton of knowledge, and can tell you anything you want to know!”
“Samuel was our dedicated guide for our MBA school-organized trip to Israel. He was with our 50-person bus for the entirety of the 6 days, and did an outstanding job. Samuel was very good about presenting Israel to us in a cohesive, logical order. There was information we wanted to know all at once, but he unfolded bits by bits every hour, every day, and by the end of the week, it all made sense. He is highly knowledgeable about the country, its complicated history, its current state in world political affairs, the interaction between the various sub-cultures and sub-communities that live together in the country. If and when I go back to Israel again, I will only travel with Samuel as my guide!”
“We had Sam as our guide educator during our graduate school’s trek to Israel. Samuel was a wonderful guide who was not only knowledgable but was excellent at painting wonderful stories in sites and places rich in history. Sam not only made an attempt to do complete his duties as our tour educator but made an attempt to connect with everyone individually by learning our names and our interests. I would recommend Sam to anyone who is considering using a tour company for a future visit to Israel.”
“Sam - An Insightful, Hilarious, and Genuine Tour Guide”
“Sam was my tour guide on an organized grad school tour of Israel. He has a wide breadth of knowledge of Israel and the region, and offers great insight into all things Israeli culture, society, geography, and international affairs. Sam also was diligent in knowing each name of the 50+ participants on our trip, and spent time getting to know us well beyond my expectations. I HIGHLY recommend Sam for a tour of Israel of any duration and group size. Much much appreciated!”
“Samuel was my guide on a trip organized for my American business school in March 2018. He did an amazing job guiding our 50 person bus (150 person tour group) through the sites and keeping us on track on a busy schedule. I really enjoyed his great whit and he did a tactful job of discussing political and religious issues in a highly respectful manner. Can’t recommend more highly!”
“Sam is a great friend, philosopher and guide - I mean that literally. He is convivial and can share a good laugh with you and give you an entertaining analogy. His profound sagacity and wisdom of the historical land is exhaustive and yet is able to break it down to you in the limited time span that you may have on your visit. He is able to rhapsodize historical tales and weave it out in memorable allegories and anecdotes. So when you’re in the hold land, make sure to grab some wine with Sam and break bread - almost literally over a good meal.”
“Knowledgeable, witty, fun guide. Can’t recommend enough”
“Samuel is one of the best guides I’ve ever had on a tour. His knowledge of Israeli history, culture, and politics is really amazing, and truly made my trip. We were on a student group of almost 50 and he was patient, funny, and truly seemed to love teaching people about his adopted country. Truly can’t recommend enough.”
“Samuel was an amazing guide. He was a guide for a week-long school trip around Israel. As complex and difficult as it can be to understand the cultures, history, and domestic and international politics of Israel, he provided not only detailed but also multi-faceted explanations and tried to answer the group’s questions in his best knowledge. I would highly recommend!”
“Samuel is amazing! He takes care to present all viewpoints, and had some excellent answers to really complex and varied questions the group shot at him. His discussions were approachable and interesting, from museum tours through the Israeli music scene. Bottom line: a wonderful experience, great for academics or anyone trying to dig deep into Israeli culture.”
“My trip was a guided educational tour for college students from Christian universities and Samuel Green was the best tour guide! He answered every question, provided fantastic information, took us to awesome extra stops throughout our tour and is extremely knowledgeable about Israel. Highly recommended Samuel when touring Israel!”
“As someone who is paid to give tours for my college, I can attest Samuel (My Irsraeli Guide) abilities is above and beyond anything I have seen. He can make nearly anything interesting, and can pick up those "im tired" looks without us ever having to verbalize them. i think he must scout locations beforehand because he has an uncanny ability to find shade at any time of the day. All that combined with a English-accent make him a great tour guide.”
“Samuel is a fantastic guide. He is so knowledgeable and has built relationships with many of the places you will visit. It is a real advantage. Even more of an advantage is that he knows how to build relationships. He kept the trip moving and if there ever was an issue ie: rain, etc. He found an alternative without ever skipping a beat. I truly believe that having Sam as our guide really enhanced our trip.”
“Samuel is an excellent guide. We had a group of roughly 57 the entire week and he did a fantastic job keeping everyone engaged, preparing us for our experiences, and handling a steady stream of complex and intelligent questions. This is our second year to do iTrek with Samuel guiding us, and we have loved it both times. Regardless of the size of group, I highly recommend Samuel to anyone who is looking for a fun, engaging, and educational tour in Israel!”
“Samuel was an amazing guide. He led a group of students around Tel Aviv and Jerusalem for several days. His knowledge and insight into Israel’s diverse cultural, political, social, and historical sites is immense and nuanced. What’s more, his approach is tailored and very personal, and I never felt like he was feeding us a line or a script. I would not hesitate to contact him again for my next visit to Israel.”
“I was part of a group of graduate students interested in the complexity of the conflict in the region - many of which who will be future conflict resolution practicioners. Since this was an educational tour, Samuel tailored our experience by not only unpacking the many different layers of the conflict at historical sites but also offering context in the recent developing events and how it is connected to history and law, and the effects on society -- we were impressed by his ability to make all of this digestible. Educational tours are just one of the many Samuel does, and I can’t wait to book him for others! :)”
“Sam guided our graduate student group for two days throughout Jerusalem. He was very well prepared and made accommodations on the fly based on our group’s interests/needs. He has a rich knowledge base, very personable, and demonstrates an enthusiasm for each student.”
“Samuel shares a wealth of information in an engaging and humorous way. We experienced other guides on our trip and Samuel blew them all out of the water. Samuel is as entertaining as he is professional. His guidance throughout my week in Israel will be forever etched in my memory. One of the wittiest, most informative, and flexible guides I’ve seen. I’ve travelled to over 40 countries and usually cringe at having a tour guide. Samuel is a huge exception. He understands the pace and interest of the group and joins in on the fun himself. He becomes your friend, not just your guide. And you remember all the important details with pleasure. Samuel made my trip to Israel unforgettable. He delivered the history and modern-day insights with wit, intrigue and exciting detail. He quickly became an important member of our group. Thanks Samuel! Samuel applies the perfect blend of comedy, sincerity, and seriousness to a highly complex region. Whether discussing the history, culture, politics, or conflict, Sam combines excitement with entertainment and learning, making him the perfect tour guide. I will recommend Sam to anyone I know traveling to Israel! What a find!! Sam is one-of-a-kind. I’ve never come across a more engaging, committed and singularly entertaining guide. Great storyteller. He’s got such a gift for this! Samuel is the most naturally gifted guide I’ve ever encountered. He is a wealth of information on all things Israel, and is just generally a joy to be around. Thanks for guiding us Samuel! I can’t praise Samuel enough for his tour guiding abilities. Israel is an amazing country and Samuel is able to fully explain and tell engaging stories about every facet of Israel’s eclectic past with wit, patience and friendliness. Samuel’s guiding was a multi-media extravaganza in which he expertly blended his knowledge with humor, music, group participation, readings, and many other engaging communication forms that allowed me to absorb a lot of information in the short time we had in the country. Samuel was great at reading the group and tailoring his message to background, interest, and energy level. Samuel is one part walking encyclopedia, one part storyteller, one part stand-up comedian. Anyone immune to his passion for the history and culture of the region would have to be catatonic. Samuel is a fantastic guide, with a inimitable sense of humour and remarkable storyteller. I would go back to Israel just to listen to his stories again and again and again! So so amazing. No words can express how much I enjoyed Samuel! He is so witty and so knowledgeable. His quick sense of humor and clear passion for the country made all of his talks extremely interesting and memorable. He also had an amazing way of bringing in local Israeli people in ways that really added to our trip. For example, he randomly came across a family at Masada and they invited us to watch their son’s bar mitzvah ceremony on the mountain top! I would absolutely recommend Samuel to everyone going to Israel. I could not have imagined the trip without him. Samuel is an amazing tour guide. He really cares about each and every person and puts so much effort into targeting his tours to the specific audience. He is very personable and an amazing storyteller. Whether it’s archeology, ancient or modern history, religion, or culture - he knows it all and has very fun, creative, and engaging ways of communicating his knowledge and making you learn. Thank you! Samuel provided the perfect mix of knowledge and humor. He was an absolute pleasure to be around and I would highly recommend him to anyone visiting Israel. Samuel was incredible. His stories, humour, warmth and deep knowledge made this a trip to remember!”

“My graduate students were very pleased with Samuel’s tour of Jaffa, Neve Tzedek, and Tel Aviv. He kept the students entertained by peppering his comments with amusing stories, anecdotes, and a few eye-rolling (yet enjoyable) puns. Samuel’s depth of knowledge is impressive. In leading us through the various points of interest in the oldest part of Tel Aviv, Samuel was able to connect biblical events, Greek legends, and Napoleon’s siege of Jaffa to what we were seeing. I recommend him highly to anyone and any group that is interested in learning about this remarkable city.”
