Yehudah HaNasi
Yehudah HaNasi (c. 135-217 CE), known as Rabbi Yehudah the Prince, was the compiler of the Mishnah and the leader of the Jewish community in Roman Palestine. Discussed here as part of a post on Beit Shearim and Zippori, both places closely tied to his life and work.
