Judah the Prince

Rabbi Judah the Prince (late 2nd century CE) led the Sanhedrin and compiled the Mishna, the foundational text of rabbinic Judaism. He is buried in the necropolis at Beit Shearim, discussed here as part of Beit Shearim and Zippori.
