Italian Hospital

The Italian Hospital is a neo-Renaissance landmark in central Jerusalem, built between 1912 and 1919. Its tower was modelled on the Palazzo Vecchio in Florence, and the building now houses Israel’s Ministry of Education. Discussed here as part of a day on the European powers in late-Ottoman Jerusalem.
