Golgotha, or Calvary, is the hill outside first-century Jerusalem’s walls identified by Christian tradition as the site of Jesus’s crucifixion. It is now enclosed within the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Discussed here as part of a walk along the Via Dolorosa.
