You’ve been to the Kotel, visited the Church of the Holy Sepulchre; maybe you’ve even visited the Temple Mount….now is your chance to discover the amazing secrets of the Old City of Jerusalem.

As you might expect in a city that is 3000 years old, Jerusalem holds many a secret. If you veer off the well-trodden tourist trail it is possible to discover a wealth of treasures hidden within its streets; of course the ancient stones all tell are tale, but there are also some remarkable local residents with very special stories.

Join us as we discover the secrets of the Old City of Jerusalem, some of which are inaccessible unless you come as a group, others which are even unknown to most tour guides….

We will begin our day with a visit to the world’s oldest functioning tattoo parlour. This shop, in the hands of the same family for hundreds of years, has never been visited by a group of tourists – only Christian pilgrims. We are truly privileged to have the opportunity to enter and discover its secrets.

We will then continue to the Jewish Quarter, visiting a very special family in their home. They will tell us their story, and let us visit the remarkable museum they have built around the ancient Jewish remains they found while excavating under their house.

After a break for lunch, we shall visit one of the Old City’s most colourful traders; a man who works closely with Jews, Muslims and Christians. He will show us some of his beautiful wares, and we shall also discover the secret of his shop – another remarkable archaeological discovery.

A short walk will take us to a small, yet intricately designed church, belonging to one of the minority Christian groups in Jerusalem. Together, we shall discover this church’s secret, descending into the depths of the Old City and transporting ourselves hundreds of years back into time.

Our final secret is also a treat for the taste-buds, as we pay a visit to Jerusalem’s oldest functioning tehina mill. We shall have an opportunity to meet the owners, to see the mill in action and to taste some of their delicious produce, before returning to Tel Aviv.

There are a very limited amount of spaces for people to join the tour from Jerusalem without joining the bus. Sign up without delay!
