I’m originally from London but have been on the move quite a bit over the years, living in Israel, Japan, Argentina and Switzerland. I love to travel and learn languages (I speak several and have basic slang in quite a few more!) and have been doing my best to see as much of the world as possible.
On the languages theme, I have two degrees in Hebrew and Israeli Studies (with a touch of Japanese) from Cambridge, graduating top of my year.
In parallel, I spent ten years as a volunteer youth leader/counsellor in the UK’s largest Jewish youth organisation, culminating in a year working as its Executive Director. This gave me a lot of experience as an educator for young people, including leading groups in Israel.
In 2008 I entered the world of business, joining the marketing function at Procter & Gamble, working on various household name brands. It was with P&G that I made my move to Israel in June 2010 and since then have been living in Tel Aviv.

Then, in 2012, I decided to make my passion my profession, and began the intensive two year course to become a licensed tour guide in Israel. I passed in 2014 and have been thoroughly enjoying showing people around this very special country ever since.
I’m happy to say my visitors enjoy themselves too, and I’m grateful to have been recognised by the Travel & Hospitality Awards as Tour Guide of the Year for Israel and by the Luxury Travel Guide as Tour Guide of the Year for Tel Aviv. I’ve also held a TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice award five years running.
Outside of guiding, I produce and present an Israeli music podcast, Kol Cambridge, write and record music, and dabble in the Israeli start-up scene. I live in Tel Aviv with my wife and three children, but guide the whole country.
My guiding philosophy
There are many different approaches to guiding. Here’s how I see it.
- I believe the most important thing is making sure you enjoy yourselves!
- I believe that providing context and understanding is more important than showering you with facts and figures.
- I believe that your questions are more important than my guiding.
- I believe in building custom itineraries from scratch to fit your interests and needs.
